Karachi: the chair of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry has written to the law enforcement agencies in Sindh to assist in the deteriorating law and order situation in the provincial capital.

Based on data provided by Sindh CPLC, Karachi has witnessed a steady increase in petty and violent crime particularly concerning is the rise of K&R/E = Kidnap for Ransom and Extortion.

Data provided by the Pakistan Institute of Peace Studies “Security Situation Report 2023” shows an 87% increase in terrorist attacks in Sindh compared to 2022 with 14 recorded attacks in with 16 people were killed[1]
With the upcoming elections it is all the more important that LEAs and Sindh Rangers provide effective relief to business and Industry in the city and province.
