Gaza-Israel Conflict | 2023-2024

Thanks for the welcome.

I think the news feed of the last 2-3 months can enlighten you on how Israel is taming Hezbollah. Latter is scared and unable to act in a meaningful way to help the Palestinians. Shooting unguided rockets at open fields or observation posts right at the border to ''keep up the image'' is not fooling anyone except a few braindead supporters.

The Zionists have admitted that Hezbollah have already killed nine of their terrorist "soldiers" and also it launched 61 rockets at a military base today as a first strike in response to the killing of the Hamas No. 2 in Beirut.

80,000 settlers have fled the northern settlements and so saying that Hezbollah is just keeping up a pretence is not accurate.

If anyone of importance in the apartheid state of Israel is seriously looking forward to the future they need to consider a just solution. Either accept the 1967 borders or end occupation and let everyone in the land of palestine be citizens of one nation.

The zionists greed has exposed them openly, they talk nice and say they want peace and willing to live side by side but their actions have always shown they want all the land of palestine and no non Jews within it.

If we look into the future a number of scenarios can play out.

1) Complete annihilation of the palestinian people with uncle sams blessing.

2) Status quo of occupation maintained for another xx years (no occupation lasts forever per history)

3) More countries like Iran start to arm the Palestinians in a distant future, such as Egypt, Jordan which leads to a large war destroying Israel and the neighbouring countries.

4) Sane minds in the apartheid state take hold and push for a single state with full citizenship or accept the 1967 borders.

5) More and more countries around the world including historical allies like in Europe actively start to boycott Israel, put financial and political pressure to agree to UN resolutions on a 1967 Palestinian state.

At this moment in time to me atleast it seems the first two options is what Israel wants and is pushing for. They don't have a long term plan, they might even be deranged enough to think once they have peace treaties with GCC and other Arab states that those states will happily take the Palestinians "off them".

This conflict can not go on in pepituity, balance is always eventually restored in some shape or fashion.

The operations carried out by the Palestinian resistance groups on Friday, January 5, are as follows:

Al-Qassam Brigades’ operations:

  • Shelled an Israeli military gathering west of Al-Maghazi camp in central Gaza with heavy-caliber mortars, inflicting casualties.
  • Destroyed a ‘Namer’ APC & 1 military D9-bulldoze in various battle zones in the Gaza Strip.
  • Detonated a landmine field consisting of three anti-personnel mines against an Israeli military infantry force in the Khazaa area, resulting in casualties.
  • Detonated an anti-personnel mine against a Zionist military force advancing towards the Ein Nafa tunnel in the Zana area east of Khan Yunis, resulting in casualties.
  • Targeted a Zionist military force inside a building with three ‘Raadiyah’ anti-personnel explosives in the Zana area, causing casualties.
  • Pounded a gathering of Israeli military vehicles and soldiers in Khan Yunis city of southern Gaza with heavy-caliber mortars.
  • Targeted nine Israeli military vehicles, engaged in clashes with its infantry forces, and targeted them with sniper rifles and anti-personnel explosives, and also engaged a number of regime soldiers in gun battles east of the Tuffah neighborhood in Gaza City.
Al-Quds Brigades’ operations:

  • In a joint operation with Al-Qassam Brigades, destroyed three military vehicles using ‘Tandem’ and ‘Yassin 105’ shells in the Ma’an area southeast of Khan Yunis city.

Mujahideen Brigades’ operations:

  • Targeted an Israeli armored personnel carrier (APC) with an anti-tank rocket in the Sheikh Ridwan area of Gaza City, resulting in material destruction and casualties.

Aqsa Martyrs Brigades’ operations:
  • The operations carried out by the Palestinian and regional resistance groups on Friday, January 5, are as follows:
Martyr Omar Al-Qassem Forces:

  • Engaged in clashes with Israeli regime forces in the central Khan Yunis axis of southern Gaza.
  • Detonated an explosive device targeting an Israeli military vehicle, causing casualties.

Let’s not kid ourselves here.

Israeli can help Gaza with desalination?
Funny because you have destroyed their desalination plants, power stations, etc. I don’t think Israel cares for that.

Because of warfare.
If Palestine commit to abandon their obsession for war with Israel, it will be logical for them to cooperate.

Gaza agree to peace?
Hamas was created because of the oppression and occupation of the Palestinian people. Don’t forget PLO signed Oslo accords gave up their weapons and what did that achieve? It only achieved more illegal settlements , a leadership who is toothless, more oppression, etc You even assassinated your own leader who was leading the 2 state efforts. Your very own Netanyahu took pride in saying that he was responsible for not creating a Palestinian state.

Nope.
Hamas was created in order to eradicate Israel and make whole land from river to sea under their authority. Their mission is not peace with Israel nor to live together with Israel as their neighbor, but to establish their ideology.

Their charter contained language that has been widely criticized for not recognizing Israel's right to exist and expressing a commitment to the liberation of all of historic Palestine.

Support peace?
There will only be peace when Palestinian are giving their rights to live in their own land with equal rights as their Jewish neighbors. The issue is you want Palestine but you do not want the Palestinian people there.

You know it is not true. If Israel doesnt want Palestine to be there then there was no Gaza left by them for Palestine in year 2005, and no Oslo accord, as Israel already won.

Palestinian already stay in Gaza and west bank and have their own government.; but the obsession to destroy Israel is giving justification for Israel to control Gaza border.

You speak about Hamas but your very own leaders who are in power are calling for the forced expulsion of Palestinians from Gaza. You refer to them as human animals and many genocidal statements from Smotrich, Givr, etc These people who are in power and who have the capacity to do genocide against Palestinians which is already evident in Gaza.

You know it is not true. If Israel really intended to expulse Palestinian from Gaza then Israel wouldn't have left Gaza in year 2005.

Your expectation to be treated equally with foreign citizen by their government doesn't make sense. There is no country on earth treat foreign citizen as equal as their own citizen. Palestinian is not Israel citizen, the welfare of Palestinian is Palestine government responsibility, not Israel's

You have effectively destroyed anything that makes Gaza habitable including their power stations, water plants, hospitals, schools, UN shelters, whole neighborhoods, etc. You have literally carpet bombed the entire Gaza. You told people to flee south and said there would be a safe corridor only to bomb that corridor with civilians fleeing. With your leaders calling for the expulsion of Palestinians from Gaza and genocidal statements. I think you can see that it’s not just genocidal words from your leaders but also actions.

How do you expect Palestinians to react to occupation and oppression? Should they hand you flowers?

Because of war. And who is obsessed with war? who start the war? Palestine.

Does Israel have choice? nope!

Does/did Palestina have choice? yes! they could choose peace and cooperate with Israel, or fighting against Israel with each consequences; and Palestine has chosen the latter due to ideology.

Being a foreigner

Meaning not local, not indigenous or from the area

The Jews today are foreigners, they set up a colonial state, even foreign Jews born after 1948 are not locals

Jews pretending to be middle Eastern is like me pretending to be European

Not true. Most of them are born in Israel, not overseas, in their own country - their homeland, not in foreign country

No the U.N did not divide the land

The land is Palestine, the people are Palestinians

The Jews were just foreigners, why would Palestinians accept their homes and lands to be divided and occupied and given to foreigners

This is a Injustice and Palestinians want their lands back and the Jews to go back to Europe

UN did.

So amazing you dont know yet this basic history.

Are you confusing the word “Arab” which a race with the religion that is Islam? Is that what is going on here? Because if so you may wish to check your version of historic timelines:

The concept of "Arab" refers to both an ethnic and linguistic identity rather than a distinct race. Arabs are a diverse group of people who share a common linguistic and cultural heritage, primarily the Arabic language. The term "Arab" does not denote a specific race, as Arabs can belong to various racial and ethnic backgrounds.

While there were people in the region speaking early forms of Arabic and sharing cultural ties before 2000 BCE, the emergence of the Arab identity as we understand it today was a gradual process influenced by historical, linguistic, and cultural developments over many centuries. The concept of a distinct Arab identity became more pronounced with the unification of the Arabian Peninsula under Islam and the subsequent expansion of Arabic language and culture to other regions.

I think i should stop till here, so that it wont be derailed to history topic.

Honestly mods, draw a line under the historical discussion or just make a new thread so this thread has a focus.

There is like 5 of you trying to discuss with him at once and not only are you absurdly boosting his ego it's distracting from the actual current events, in my humble opinion

@Musings @Waz @Mr X

The Muslim armies brought back the Jews in large numbers after Saladian took the city. They stayed there forever up in good favor through the Mamluk and Ottoman empire years until the establishment of the state of Israel.

Not brough back, but Jews returned back to Jerusalem after the Muslim conquest.

The potential misinterpretations of the story:
  • "Brought back in large numbers": While it's true that some Jews returned to Jerusalem after the Muslim conquest, the statement might overemphasize the scale or suggest a singular event. The Jewish population in Jerusalem remained relatively small throughout these periods.
  • "Stayed there forever": While Jews maintained continuous presence in Jerusalem for centuries, their numbers and circumstances fluctuated significantly over time due to various factors, including persecution, religious freedom, and economic opportunities.
  • "Up in good favor": The relationship between the Jewish community and the ruling Muslim powers throughout history was complex and varied. While periods of tolerance existed, there were also instances of discrimination and persecution.

I know we have some interested in the views of John m
