Discussion: Electronic devices based attack in Lebanon

It's alleged that the pager had 20 grams of explosive material. This was planned for months.

If the taiwanese dare dare to try it on china. They will be in world of hurt since china is the biggest exporter in the world. Beware CIA. China should be aware of this and learn to do to the same to it's enemies.

Doubt it. Biological warfare is against international laws.

Israel and the West will never do anything that cannot be sanitized away as a targeted military operation, possibly with preplanned but 'regrettable' collateral damage. Israel's whole modus operandi is to make sure the operation is such that it can either claim open victory or keep quiet and let the rumor mill give it credit. The recent deaths in Iran and the old Stuxnet virus are examples of how Israel operates.

AFAIK, there is no law against using exploding pagers or mobile phones, since they are targeted to a particular number, which is why they got away with this. I also don't know of any laws against using nanotech to target specific individuals in a war. (Israel will, of course, claim that everyone killed was a military target.)

This attack has nothing to do with Taiwan. They only used their brand name. The pagers were assembled in a factory inside Lebanon. This factory has nothing to do with Taiwan.

The Gold Apollo has not assisted the crime. It was a victim also.

NEW TAIPEI, Sept 18 (Reuters) - Taiwan's Gold Apollo did not make the pagers that were used in the detonations in Lebanon on Tuesday, the company's founder Hsu Ching-Kuang told reporters on Wednesday.
At least nine people were killed and nearly 3,000 wounded when pagers used by Hezbollah members detonated simultaneously across Lebanon on Tuesday.
Images of destroyed pagers analysed by Reuters showed a format and stickers on the back that were consistent with pagers made by Gold Apollo. A senior Lebanese security source told Reuters that Hezbollah had ordered 5,000 pagers from the Taiwan-based Gold Apollo.

Hsu said the pagers used in the explosion were made by a company in Europe that had the right to use the Taiwanese firm's brand.
"The product was not ours. It was only that it had our brand on it,' he said.
Hsu did not name the company which he said manufactured the pagers, adding Gold Apollo was also a victim of the incident.
"We are a responsible company. This is very embarrassing," he said.
Hezbollah fighters began using pagers in the belief they would be able to evade Israeli tracking of their locations, two sources familiar with the group's operations told Reuters this year.

Israel is a serial committer of war crimes. They kill women and children, noncombatants, torture and kill prisoners, bomb mosques, schools, and hospitals etc. when have they ever hesitated from committing war crimes?

This act of exploding thousands of bombs indiscriminately is also a war crime. The countries of the region must be prepared for biological war.

Israel and the Iran-backed Hezbollah have been engaged in cross-border warfare in parallel with the Gaza war which erupted last October, the worst such escalation in years. The pagers that detonated were the latest model brought in by Hezbollah in recent months, three security sources said. No group has claimed responsibility for the explosions, but suspicion immediately fell on Israel’s intelligence services.

It was just a crude attack based on Hypothesis

Circulating 5000-10,000 units into Lebanon market , circulating laced up Cell phones , Of course majority was bought by general population for usage

Then triggering them all at once

Nothing scientific or high tech , very crude approach

Anyone could do it , but most countries or people don't do it because the approach is very crude , and it hurts civilians

Muslims have moral rights and they follow the book - rule of engagement

Israelis , are inclined to kill as many as they can - they also claim they will be forgiven for their killing - They are superior race
It's a race - superiority complex

They treat Palestinians civilians are objects , and this is where they (Israeli) already have lost the war their ideology of hate
