India has initiated work on its own stealth bomber, codenamed "Ultra Long Range Strike Aircraft" (#ULRA). Designed for deep-strike missions, the ULRA will be capable of carrying a 12 ton weapons payload over 10,000 km, putting targets across continents within reach. It will reportedly be armed with advanced munitions like BrahMos-NG, air-launched Agni-P, and other stand-off weapons. The project aims for a first flight before 2035.

Oh man... I can understand having plans, dreams, and ambitions—maybe even lofty ones—but at the end of the day, you should at least be a little realistic if you want to be taken seriously! Here, however, some are just going crazy ... :ROFLMAO: 🤡 :ROFLMAO: 🤡 :ROFLMAO: 🤡

what will India even use this for ? According to them China and Pakistan are their only adversaries. Neither are 12000 km away.
Power projection I guess, following the foot steps of the big global players.

Obviously real target is going to be Pakistan, and to a lesser extent China, maybe even Bangladesh.

India doesn't need a stealth bomber with 12,000KM range to attack Pakistan, China or BD. This is absolutely pathetic.

That look like 70 ,s era SR71 blackbird.
Atleast don't use cheap AI to design such a highly ambitious bomber project lol.

Are they going to build their strategic bombers using foreign engines?

I hope my grandkids would read the news title “ULRA project abandoned, India fails”

So basically India will be buying the Tu-160M, call it the Tu-160MI. Most people see through the posturing for Indian R&D. Picking the high tech off Russia; a country that needs partners and options, planning for the ultimate demise of Putin. Sprinkle in cooperation with the Israelis, Europeans (especially French) and possibly some US defense companies and in about 10 years we will probably see a squadron of these bombers; all just to keep the interest, posturing as a “net security provider” for the US, to get access for their economy.
