J-31 to be inducted soon| Pilot training reportedly in progress

It's not what you think .... it's your big mouth boisterous neighbor who has bitten more than she can chew and now she is looking towards you to be the knight in shining armor to protect the damsel in distress .
It’s absolutely irrelevant who got into which issue - Pakistan is unable to respond regardless of having J-31s, J-20s , F-22s or the starship enterprise.

Taton se pakar rakha hai jaga jaga se…I’ll leave it at that.
We can return to the platform

Oh bhai, Agar itni hi ungli dee howe hai un haramiyon nay tu phir j31 layna ke jurrat kaesay ke?

After all, the most powerful man in Pakistan, Bajwa, was against swift retort, it happened regardless.

Sometimes, capabilities on their own create deterrence.

Because of what I maintain is a thin veneer of highly competent and honest people who are keeping the lights on.

Bajwa was against retort but there were other compulsions in the room.

Bajwa is not a gauge for power and presence - neither was Musharraf. You’re mistaking behind the scenes “build” versus on the spot decisions which only a proper strongman can do - Bajwa was not a strongman.

A better analogy is to look at OBL raid and how that transpired along with nuclear weapons.

Where the compromise starts and at how many levels it percolates.

Technically you were offered F-15EX to abandon all 5th Gen ideals but that veneer I mentioned stood its ground.

The system is eroding that veneer activity as we speak

Pointless debate. There is one aggressive neighbour who would just love to be the Isreal of South Asia, bombing / killing at will without consequence or question. PAF is a key part of Pakistan’s deterrence against that happening, especially smaller scale propaganda type attempts like Balakot and 5th Gen is imported next step to keeping that deterrence viable.

That is very well said .... that neighbor is Bharat / India and is hell bent over to establishing its hegemony over this part of the world. the only standing wall it has is called Pakistan and the armed forces, especially the P-Air Force. just look at the middle east; if israel wants to penetrate any of its neighbours, it can go all the way to Iran on one side and up to Morocco on the other without any difficulty. even Egypt cannot stand tall in front of Israel - AF. India can do the same except Pakistan, and that is the most significant exception.

Your "tattay" analogy is true but I look at it using old fashion trojen horses, poodles, compromised lots at the highest offices of power. So when I mentioned bajwa, he was "their" poodle, and his opposition to swift retort was only because he was/is, a poodle. His position and American pressure not to respond was identical. Had bajwa won and we not responded, it would have become a new norm. And we could only respond , because we had the capability already in place. No isreali gadgets, radars, could help India when push came to shove.

And that is the fine detail I am talking about, to build the capability. Coz they did their calculations to "manage" things through their poodles like bajwa after their so called balakot strike, but it turn into their nightmare. And we all know, when I mentioned they, I am not just talking about India.

If our enemies know that capabilities exists, and our response will be unpredictable despite having our tattay squeezed, I am cool with that.

A day will come when the PAF will be needed not just to defend Pak. Until then it needs to continue to strengthen and moderise. We can hope for more competent leadership in the future.

J-31 has already landed because payment was made in advance years ago and is operational with 2 squadrons hidden within underground nuclear weapons proof airbases guarded by our fiercest Balochi brethren. I believe it has already overflown Tel Aviv which is why Israel has shown restraint with Iran.

More acceptable I suppose?
