Mecca Defence Alliance: Turkey, Saudi Arabia, and Pakistan, news & updates

I see a lot of people talking about expanding, I don't see it expanding anytime soon. It needs to be fortified first and made more structural otherwise it will be useless. The more you add, the more you dilute, and when ground rules and frameworks are not in place, all it creates is spoilers.

The ones who want to join need to understand its the founding 3 who will set the agenda, and they will have to adapt to that framwork, instead of a situation where some new member comes in and starts vetoing stuff and spoiling things.

Not just Pakistan Army chief, there are also two other Army chief too from Turkey and Saudi Arabia

Are the other army chiefs there for "protocol", ie since Munir was there, the others "had" to be there to ensure protocol is maintained and that Munir as a Army general is not treated higher than his peers and more senior people there ?

Please don't add more countries or it will become like the OIC - 60 years with little development and no mutual understanding since Gaza?!

We should stay focused on these 3 countries (Saudi, Turkey and Pakistan) and work together to develop further.

3 Countries should reject 6-7 extra countries and should postpone their applications to 100 years later.

This is the issue, if there is a geniune NATO Article 5 clause, it should not matter how many join, any attack will be reppelled by all. In the absence of that, as you point out, too many members will stifle decision making and this will just turn into a talking shop like OIC.

Lets see what happens....

The headquarters of the #Mecca_Alliance will be in the city of #Riyadh, and its first Secretary-General will be from #Pakistan, with the activation of high-level cooperation and coordination paths.

He maintained that the alliance was “open for the partnership and participation of any other country”. However, Fidan stressed that there were “some conditions, rules and standards”, adding that the alliance’s nature was such that it was “expected to expand”.
That is the qoute from HakanFidan FM of Turkiye
