Military and Civilian Iranian Aviation Products

Mehr writes: TEHRAN, December 11 (MNA) – The new Iranian light transport aircraft Simorgh, designed and developed by experts from the Iran Aircraft Manufacturing Industrial Company (HESA), has successfully conducted a test flight during the 12th Iran International Aerospace Exhibition, also known as Iran Airshow 2024, held on Kish Island in the northeast of the Persian Gulf

I found a short video online in which some frames of what I think is the Simorgh painted in new colors appear.

It's a beautiful aircraft with an adequate amount of R&D and focus granted. Has plentiful growth potential across several prospective variants. With all tests and necessary certifications completed, would love to see it being in serial production.

This plane is a great success for Iran.

when they officially presented the second modified prototype of the Yasin,

and with subsequent photos I had realized this (fixed armament I thought the same M39 20mm of the F-5)

And now, :love:at the Iran Airshow 2024 this one appeared that looks like it.
Apparently at least at the model level they thought of a single-seater light attack version

Very nice.

Would such an a/c come down to between either it or the Yak-130.

Kowsar fighter jet should be equipped with a refueling tube. The Brazilians did it so it is possible.

It cannot be retracted, nothing needs to be removed. Its combat value increases significantly.
