The anchor was pointing to some who started the tenure around 1 year ago. So either army chief or dg ispr.

Where did this tout came up with DG ISI. The anchor was pointing to some who started the tenure around 1 year ago. So either army chief or dg ispr.
You didn't get it ...notice some rift , someone from GHQ calls Mansoor and other deny through Kamran ....

It is not a rift. It is their typical behaviour. Even Bajwa refused many times when he gave interviews to Javed Ch or Mansoor or retracted some statements.
May be ...main message to convey about Imran Khan disqualification for life ...

but enjoy Faiz Isa so called son speaks and grilling ...

To be fair like I said in the original thread where this should have been posted...

These media touts are "users and abusers" if any convo did take place, it should be disclosed through proper channels and not some YouTube video with a salacious headline.

feel sorry for this class of journalist ..... @ziaulislam .. this is revise form of slavery ...

@HAIDER you will recall this is what got quite a few active people on SM in hot water, presenting certain hearsay as "facts" and twisting narratives. It is dangerous, especially in the day and age of SM where information spreads like wildfire.

On this point I absolutely agree with the military, social media has indeed been weaponized.

I wouldn’t read it that way. It’s just denying also while also delivering message.

Then military shd use it. Either they lack clarity and truth or capacity.
If they don't release correct info or indirectly, then conspiracy and mid/disinformation or opposition narratives will fill/take over the gap.

I think military should announce clear policy , that they don t invite or directly interact with any journalist. We only call press briefing/ conference. If you remember Bajwa statement " some lower rank take extra steps and those are not orders from top" .

Yes I agree, sadly ISPRs hesitance for using social media is due to the level of vitriol they receive. There was a video of some shaheed on an army fan page, the posts under that image of a shaheed made me sick to my stomach.

It would have been better for this to have have been discussed on a telecast where certain controls and filters apply.

Personally I think SM can be a force for good in information share, clarification, fact-checking etc etc. Once again missing the mark.

Agreed.

How on earth can they give official briefing and admit to clear case of article 6. Even in martial law they take legal cover through judiciary there is no way in hell they will officially admit to these things. Yes you can get we are neutral kind of official statements which everyone knows how true it is.

Yeah.. everything is good and bad depending upon its usage. Plastic, glass, fire, knife, etc. That cannot be avoided.

Yes, the comments under any shaheed/missile test are nauseating but one cannot avoid it. Army has to bear the brunt or live in a cocoon. Public is not their servant or juniors who always say Yes Sir and All is good, Sir! etc.

If not ISPR, then outsource it or manoeuvre around it.
