I have faith in Imran Khan, and we have seen that the Pakistan Army stands in opposition to the citizens of Pakistan. The nation's new, honest, and patriotic figurehead laments how the entire institution is determined to exclude him and his fellow patriots, only to replace them with politicians of notorious repute, such as Nawaz Sharif and Zardari. It is a fact, not mere theory or opinion, that the nation grieves when they see soldiers in uniform – the very figures meant to protect them – instead taking lives and stripping away their rights.
But the questions go deeper: What's the ultimate goal? Is it to recognise the state of Israel or to sell the Rikodeck Gold Mines to Arabs? How do these actions benefit the nation? Why sacrifice some for what gain to the others? Can anyone still answer these questions?
Today, there seems to be no distinction between a TTP terrorist and a uniformed soldier of the Pakistan Army. Both are seen as violators of Pakistan's constitution, perpetrators of violence against Pakistanis, and actors of self-interest. May they both face the consequences of their actions. To Pakistan, you are one and the same.
