Gaddafi Stadium upgrade project reaches 50% completion​

PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi assures Gaddafi stadium upgrades are on track for Champions Trophy standards.

The Gaddafi Stadium upgradation project has reached approximately 50% completion, with rapid progress on enclosures and floors of the main building. Floors in the main and office buildings are now in the final stages of completion.

Chairman Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Mohsin Naqvi conducted a detailed visit to Gaddafi Stadium to review the project’s progress.

During his visit, Chairman Naqvi announced that a cricket museum and a souvenir shop would be established within the main building. He expressed satisfaction with the ongoing construction and inspected the development in person. Following his visit, Naqvi chaired a meeting at the Frontier Works Organization (FWO) camp office, where he reviewed the project's design and blueprints.

Naqvi emphasized the importance of expanding the parking area and enhancing the main building’s exterior appeal. He directed FWO and relevant officials to complete the project within the stipulated timeframe, setting a goal for the stadium’s readiness ahead of the upcoming Champions Trophy tournament.

"This stadium is now on track to meet international standards," said Naqvi, noting that the improvements will greatly benefit both players and cricket fans.
