Great thread, keep it up. Perhaps add the small arms made up Dara Arms for the civilian and enthusiast market in this section too.

CW39 is being inducted by the navy and FC. It is a delayed roller blowback operated assault rifle in 7.62x39 and is seen as the successor to the G3 platform. Army still haven't committed due to caliber, and BW20 (7.62 NATO similar platform) has taken a back seat to CW39 on POF list of priorities. This is a culmination after years of testing various platforms such as CZ Bren 2, AK103, SCAR H, etc. and the decision was made to keep the G3 assembly lines open in POF. I am not a fan of the delayed roller blowback operation because it gets really dirty, it is completely unreliable in the desert due to the sand, and the parts are stamped sheet metal. Not a single country has invested in roller delayed blowback systems in the past 50 years. Essentially this is world war 2 era technology and an incredibly lazy attempt to replace one million G3 rifles. I do like the G3 but it is an incredibly long and heavy weapon and the majority of our forces aren't body builders. POF rarely issues the G3 with optics and accessories. I am incredibly unhappy with the direction POF has decided to take with our future standard issue service rifles. I have seen it in action and in fully auto it shoots like 500 RPM. Not something you want in CQB. Kasam say, Ulti athi hey.
