  • 7 soldiers including lieutenant colonel, captain were martyred.
  • Tarar says he condemns social media campaign against martyrs.
  • "Those running such campaigns will be brought to justice," he adds.
LAHORE: Information Minister Attaullah Tarar claimed Sunday that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf's (PTI) social media team was behind the accounts attacking Pakistan Army and the soldiers who were martyred in North Waziristan a day earlier, warning action against them.

At least seven Pakistan Army soldiers, including a lieutenant colonel and captain, embraced martyrdom after fighting with terrorists as they attacked a security forces' post in North Waziristan District.

Tarar, while speaking about the terror incident, said that Pakistan Army, the police and people have made sacrifices in the war against terrorism.

"I condemn the insulting social media campaign launched by a political party against the martyrs and their sacrifices," said the information minister while speaking during a presser in Lahore on Sunday.

Tarar alleged that PTI's social media team was behind these accounts, adding that such behaviour was intolerable and people behind the campaign have been identified.

Urging the nation to come together for national unity and security, Tarar said that some "red lines should not be crossed", stressing that those who run such campaigns will be identified and brought to justice through legal action.

He added that many of the social media accounts were being operated outside of Pakistan and the followers of these accounts also preside in Pakistan.

"Those who mock the sacrifices of the martyrs do not deserve any concession. Criticise politics a hundred times but don't do this against martyrs," he urged. "Insulting and mocking the martyrs is not acceptable under any circumstances."

The information minister said that the government pays homage to the sacrifices made by the martyrs in the Waziristan incident.

Speaking about the economic situation of the country, the minister said that there's not a single day when Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif does not hold a meeting related to the economy.

Tarar said that the country's economic situation requires urgent measures, adding that the government will not let the country default as it is their mission to make people's lives easier.

He added that loss-making institutions will be privatised and the government was also working on tax reforms and restructuring of Federal Board of Revenue (FBR).

Yeah. We should start killing and locking up the living people, for the sake of those who are gone, and that too for made up reasons.
PMLN logic.
11000 still in prison for damaging some "idols" of some Martyrs.
Where is Islam is it even allowed to make statues of those who are gone?

Social media handles linked to certain political party defame Waziristan martyrs

Certain political parties linked accounts continue to spread vile propaganda against the officers and soldiers

Social media handles linked to certain political party defame Waziristan martyrs

Certain political parties are determined to violate the sanctity of martyrs as has been an old practice of certain political parties that they have always targeted martyrs to fulfill their nefarious political goals.
Social media accounts linked to certain political parties continued to spread vile propaganda against the officers and soldiers who were martyred as a result of the cowardly attack by terrorists in North Waziristan.
Accounts linked to the political party insulted the officers and jawans who were martyred in yesterday's terror incident.
The belief of martyrdom is a sign of our country and nation and proves their greatness.
An anonymous account linked to a political party later deleted its vile post after public backlash. Under the anonymous account, the accounts linked to the political party used the worst language against the martyrs
The evil-minded elements of certain political parties have mocked the martyrs before. The TTP attack on Mianwali Air Base also led to a negative and anti-national narrative from a certain political party.
Those youths who risked their lives to fight the terrorists were not spared by the anti-national elements of certain political parties.
Lasbela martyrs
On September 26, 2022, the miscreants of a certain group made fun of the martyrdom of army officers and soldiers in Lasbela Balochistan. Whether the helicopter of the Pakistan Army is destroyed or the officers are martyred, the false and baseless narrative of a certain political party exposes their hidden ambitions.
The time has come to take the strictest legal action against such vile, dirty and immoral accounts on social media and give severe punishment to the concerned people.

PTI denies role in derogatory campaign against Pak Army's martyrs

The thing is people cannot be for Ed to respect anyone. The military needs to recognize this.
Asim Munir has done too much damage to military image on people.
What they gonna do? Start arresting people again? They can try, it won't help

Imran Khan proposed to increase punishment for social media campaigns. PMLN is simply implementing his laws.

People can't be forced to respect, but can be silenced into submission. Chinese technology and surveillance tools will make it very simple.

Yeah. We PTI supporters don't blindly support Imran Khan, and everything he did.
Where he was wrong, we do criticize him.
The laws he made was against malicious fake propaganda against military, Which PMLN did in abundance. Even surpassing Indians . Spreading baseless lies , distortion of history, should be punishable.
Starting a whole campaign against general Raheel Sharif because he got some land as pension and retirement benefits , and totally destroying his achievements in Zarb e Azb and as a whole in his time, was malicious and wrong. Specially when his retirement Benefits didn't come from tax payer money or national budget. That's what PMLN was doing.

Right now army is hands in hand with corrupt politicians. They orchestrated and rigged the election and stole public mandate.
Plenty of witnesses saw it happening.
They created "Nau maee" drama to opress one particular section of Pakistan population.
These are crimes committed by Pakistan military and people can't just forget this
This hate is not the same as the hate military was getting until recently from PMLN.
There's good reason for this, and based on facts , not made up propaganda

Such these statements proves, Nawaz Sharif is now fully eliminated from politics.
