Three Indian soldiers were killed and three others injured in an attack in the Surankote area of Poonch in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, today.
The soldiers were killed in the attack during a cordon and search operation (CASO) being carried out by Indian troops in the Surankote area of the district.

Three soldiers were killed in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) during a gun battle in the disputed Himalayan territory, the army said Thursday.

Two army vehicles were conducting an operation in Rajouri district south of Srinagar, the occupied region's biggest city, when they were fired upon by separatists, a defence spokesperson told AFP.

"Troops sustained three fatal and three non-fatal casualties," the spokesperson added.

Army operations were continuing in the area and further details of the incident were "being ascertained", they said.

The fighting comes just days after India's top court upheld a 2019 decision by Prime Minister Narendra Modi's government to revoke the limited autonomy of the Muslim-majority occupied territory.

Separatist groups have waged an insurgency in IIOJK since 1989, demanding independence or a merger with Pakistan.
The conflict has left tens of thousands of civilians, soldiers and freedom fighters dead.

Last month, five Indian soldiers and two suspected separatists were killed in the region.

Thank you for raising this, whichever member makes comments glorifying the killing/deaths of soldiers on either side, please use the report feature and a mod will pick it up. To be honest, comments glorifying the deaths of soldiers are in very poor taste. Because as you have eluded, where does it stop?

The problem is yar, sometimes we have to accept a leopard cannot change its spots. But believe me the mods are working very hard to keep this place clean, but I am sure you can appreciate these teething problems will occur.

Genuinely sorry as a Pakistani if any posts here have caused you discomfort or distress.

These P.B (permanent banned people) came her and join but there was a solid reasons that why they got banned on other forum.

These parasites don't know the stand of Pakistan people and armed forces of Pakistan on Kashmir?

We consider Indian armed forces in Kashmir as invaders and they are doing genocide in Kashmir everyday. They want to and act like Israel to eliminate or change demography of Kashmir.

Khas Kam Jahan Pak....is a perfect reaction or a comment for those evil forces killing innocent people in Kashmir.
