According to Phoenix News, on March 6, members of the United States House of Representatives proposed to give ByteDance 165 days to peel off Tiktok to avoid the application being banned. The re-election campaign team of US President Biden has begun to use Tiktok to establish ties with young voters. Tiktok responded: "No matter how the proposer conceals, this bill is totally a ban on Tiktok. This legislation will trample on the First Amendment rights of 170 million Americans and deprive 5 million small businesses of the platform on which to develop and create jobs."
On March 6, it was reported that Mike Gallagher, chairman of the Republican "Ad Hoc Committee on China" of the US House of Representatives, Raja Krishnamurti, leader of the Democratic Party of the Committee, and 17 members of Congress proposed to give ByteDance 165 days to peel off Tiktok to avoid applying for a ban.
