
While car sales are falling in Turkey, the rise in electric vehicles continues!
In Turkey's car market, which contracted by 6.1% in
April 2026, the share of electric vehicles reached 20.5% with 16,435 sales.
In the electric market, where Togg led again with 3,821 units, Chinese BYD sold only 438 vehicles, slipping right down to the bottom ranks. Tesla's sales also dropped to 880, with the Model Y continuing its downward movement in the best-sellers list.
The best-selling car by model was the Togg T10X with 2,278 units. Following it were the KGM Torres EVX with 1,604 sales, the Togg T10F with 1,543, and the MINI Countryman with 1,310 units.
In the first four months of 2026, more than 54,000 electric vehicles were sold, bringing their share of the total market to nearly 19%. This shows that one in every five cars sold is fully electric.
