Uyghur mother and daughter sing to warn China's enemies: If wolves dare to attack, we Chinese sons and daughters will fight for dignity

"5,000 years of Great China, how many heros touched our heartstrings, if wolves dare to attack us, we'll never go soft, we Chinese sons and daughters fight for the dignity of our motherland China."

Wolves and jackles reference comes from a famous Chinese army's Korean war battle song, meaning Americans

'When the jackal comes'

Jan 26, 2011

At the White House “quintessentially American” state dinner honoring President Hu Jintao of China a week ago tonight, Lang Lang, 28, a world-renowned Chinese pianist, dissed America.

Playing for a rapt audience that had enjoyed chardonnay, $400 a bottle cabernet and Riesling dessert wine, Mr. Lang played “My Motherland.” That is the theme song from the 1956 Chinese Korean War movie “Battle on Shangangling Mountain,” depicting the Chinese People’s Liberation Army being pinned down by American soldiers and unable to move. But reinforcements arrive to win the 1952 battle of Triangle Hill, defeating American soldiers who the movie refers to as “jackals”

The song includes the verse: “When friends are here, there is fine wine/But if the jackal comes/What greets it is the hunting rifle.”

'Greeting jackals with shotguns' is a line from a household known song "My Motherland" from a 1950's Korean War movie.

My Motherland

Lyrics by Qiao Yu; Melody by Liu Zhi

"A big river with wide waves

Wind blows rice flowers to spread fragrance across the banks.

My family lives on the shore,
Got used to the chant of steersmen, and
to seeing white sails on board

This is a beautiful country
Is the place where I grew up.
In this vast land
Beautiful scenery everywhere

Girls are like flowers
Young men have broad mind and shoulders,
In order to break new ground
Wake up the sleepy mountain
Let the rivers change their appearance

This is the heroic country
Is the place where I grew up,
In this ancient land
The strength of youth everywhere

Good mountains, good water, good places
All roads are wide and spacious
if friends come, there is a good wine
If jackal has come, it is greeted with hunting gun

This is a powerful country
Is the place where I grew up,
In this land of warmth,
Peaceful sunshine everywhere"

Its the Chinese section, if they wish to share their narrative I suppose they are welcome to. Don't you think so?
But he was posting too many threads in different sections, similar his previous attitude in old PDF where he posted 10-12 threads on different sections of old PDF on daily basis

I understand yar, but he offers a perspective from the Chinese side of things, we must be accepting and tolerant of this. The reason I say this is because we learn through shared experiences, I for one visit this forum to broaden my horizons, if we can have threads on memes and favorite foods, a couple of posts from the Chinese perspective are not a problem. At least in my mind.

And nationalism is important to those in Mainland China, so who are we to dictate to them how they should feel. Anyway rant over, have a great day/evening/night.

But things are different here now. He can spam all he wants in the Chinese section, and it is up to the Chinese moderator on how to deal with it, if deal with it at all

however, unlike the last PDF, he won't be able to get away with doing that in other sections. That's the major difference. So no need to get too upset about it

Folks for the first and only time I will tell people. He can post what he wants, as can you. If you proceed to insult him on a personal basis that is not on at all. If you don't like it, don't post or counter with your own thread or post. That's how it works here and on any decent message board.

As for other things we have polices now in place to prevent spam and moderators from many nations.

The difference is that American and Indian spammers are allowed to pollute threads in China section, protected, encouraged and joined by moderators.

Okay so you're creeping me out a bit.. like you're stalking me or something.

Didn't think I'd have to use the ignore feature so quickly into this new Forum, but feel it's necessary now

Nope that will not be allowed and nor will anyone protect them. It will be the same policy for all.

And it was never insinuated that it would happen otherwise. At least by me anyway.

You answered essentially the same way I would, so thank you
