Taking a jibe at India, the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Asim Munir said that where are they today who used to say that they have drowned the two-nation theory in the Bay of Bengal.

It’s worth noting that the former Indian Prime Minister Indira Gandhi had said at the time of creation of Bangladesh in 1971 that “We have drowned the two-nation theory in the Bay of Bengal.”

While addressing Ulema and Mashaikh Conference in Islamabad on Thursday, the COAS said that Kashmir is an unfinished agenda of Indo-Pak partition.

Lamenting the atrocities on the innocent people of Palestine and Gaza, he said that his heart sheds tears of blood on seeing it, adding that from Palestine, we get a lesson that we have to protect ourselves and make Pakistan strong.

Speaking on extremism, the Army Chief said that Allah says that there is no compulsion in religion. He said that anarchy is spread through social media. He said that criminals and smugglers are supporting terrorism.

General Asim Munir further said that the greatest crime in the sight of Allah is corruption in the land. He said that Pakistan Army is working hard to end corruption in the world as per the order of Allah. He added that we do not consider those who do not follow Shariat and Constitution as Pakistanis.

In addition, he said that for more than 40 years, Pakistan has hosted millions of Afghans. He said that we are explaining to them not to oppose their neighbor brotherly Islamic Country and longtime friend for the sake of Kharijite sedition.

The COAS said that our Pakhtun brothers and the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have made a lot of sacrifices in the war against terrorism and we stand with them appreciating their efforts.

General Asim Munir also said that we tell the people that if you want to protest, do it but be peaceful.

Commenting on the Prophethood of Prophet Muhammad (May Allah’s peace and blessings be upon Him), the Army Chief said, “No one has the courage to insult the glory of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW).

The COAS said that if someone tries to create anarchy in Pakistan, by God, we will stand against him.

The Army Chief said that no power in the world can harm Pakistan because it was created to last and it would exist till eternity.

The Army Chief requested the Ulema and Mashaikh to encourage tolerance and unity instead of extremism or discrimination. He said that scholars should bring back moderation in the society and reject corruption.

What is the purpose of the two-nation theory in this conference? The two-nation theory served its purpose in achieving two homelands for two religious groups. It was just that Pakistan couldn't hold onto the two wings of its nation, and it truly drowned. Asim Munir should also quote the first part of Indra Gandhi's speech: “We have taken the revenge of a thousand years.” Their purpose was to hurt Muslims when given the chance, who were united as two wings, so she did her part and showed the unity part was weak.

@VCheng I don't know how to put it. Indra Gandhi's speech meant something completely different than what this COAS is letting on. It's pretty disingenuous to quote it out of context, or it's just the FA pass mindset to twist things.

As for the Pakistan Army stopping corruption "in the world," it should probably clean up its own house first. On the other hand, how are you going to have the Pakistan Army travel the world to clean up corruption when you don't have enough financial power to do such things?

Lastly, Pakistan can't be undone; there is no promise in this world, and nothing is permanent. I'm sure the Romans and Ottomans thought the same, so look at where it's at now and the region.

Overall, this was the most pointless gathering of figures in Pakistan.

Reminds me of those Punjab Uni days when Jamati students used to raise the takbeer. It seems like the Jamaat has deep roots in BD.
One addition: the TNT is the ultimate benchmark that will be used at the Mahkem-i Kubra on the Roz-i Hashr....

As per the KITAP, the entire mankind will be divided into two "nations" on the the Roz-i Hashr : Ummet-i Muslimin and Ummet-i Mujrimin. Needless to say, their Ebedi destinations would be diametrically opposite. The trick lies in choosing the right "nation" while being in this Dunya for it'll be reflected on the next Ahiret...

He should be more worried that he might have to catch a plane out j just like the rulers of Sri Lanka and Bangladesh
