You do realize that the Turkish economy and military budget is 5x that of Pakistan? Also they were using pretty extreme methods like relocating Kurdish populations mass surveillance etc I don't see that going well here

They will - just not right now. They need useful idiots just as the establishment and noonies and PPP need theirs.
No one is truly “honest” about this situation because it provides a lot of personal gain if used appropriately.

Afridi for e.g sees his opportunity to take over as No.2 face for IK but with the full gulp of Pashtun nationalism. For the common folk in the area dealing with uncertainty nationalism is a great uniting cause because it allows you to blame everything from inaction on infrastructure by political agents to being frisked heavy handed by a soldier on “Center and Punjab”.

The result of this also is it helps create the opposite “Ham idhar tum udhar” narrative among Punjabi nationalists.

Very easy playbook to identify and exploit.
Very difficult to counter effectively without all institutions empowered to be independent

He says we want peace and diplomatic relations with all countries. But our relations with India are not to undermine Pakistan. Yet if Pakistan continues with its aggression, we will consider it obligatory upon us to fight them. Then it is not going to be fight along the border but we will take it till Islamabad.
 
Anyone tell KP new CM that Taliban and TTP has killed more Pashtoons than Army or anyone else, if people of KPK really buys into this pushtoon nationalism and side with Afghan Taliban with whom no one wants to even talk except India who is funding them because of hate towards Pakistan than I have serious concerns for KPK people, and their IQ. But then again if KPK & balochistan people were somewhat smart or intelligent then we will have 80K civilians alive, hundreds of girls schools not blown and several thousands soldiers still alive.

Only Solution I see is that keep pounding AT, and divide that country as in Balkanized it and let them fight each other, meanwhile hit TTP across the border and worse AT/TTP can do is ground incursions and suicide attacks, which they will abuse Islam for even more, typical of them... But if we keep bombing them and take some causalities in consideration than slowly and gradually the attacks will slow down, I know we need to do massive bombing campaign across the border and take out any solid structure within 30km of Pak-AFG border, close all trade and seal the border, send all remaining afghans back and anyone from KPK who wants Shariah law understand Taliban should be given free access and even some cash to leave.

Every Tom , Dick and Harry has a 20/20 hindsight....No one in that era could have predicted the future... everyone now is genius.... besides, that was the era when allover the Islamic world there was the so called " renaissance" of islam taking shape..... every political system that the Muslim countries adopted badly misfired... everyone wanted to find solution in islam......spare us this blame game that is a refuge of intellectually stunted .

really...nobody would have predicted that the Taliban, a hardline group consisting of a single ethnicity that feels its territory was unfairly divided by an outside force would have goals that did not align with ours long term?

really? this thought crossed nobodies mind?
