Pakistan-India Conflict 2025: News Updates and Discussion

I am 41 years old and have lived there 2002 to 2018.

my parents still live in Karachi, I know people bec. I have worked in a bank and have seen riots of MAy 10 and December 2007!

what have you seen?!!

not to mention disasters due to urban floodings!

And what about Balouch or Pushtans who attack Pakistani soldiers?

Would the people of Karachi engage an Indian marine and
navy occupying force in urban guerrilla combat and see the
city become another Gaza or Stalingrad ?
-Given the diversity of the population of Karachi, would there
even be a will to fight an invasion?
My own answers to the above questions:
  • Would the people of Karachi engage an Indian marine and navy occupying force in urban guerrilla combat and see the city become another Gaza or Stalingrad ? No they wouldn't. The population of Karachi is urban mercantile/middle class professional, and Karachi contributes very little to Pakistan's military manpower unlike Punjab or KPK.
  • Given the diversity of the population of Karachi, would there even be a will to fight an invasion? No they wouldn't and there is no will. . Karachi has a polyglot population of migrants from different parts of Pakistan, and there is little cohesion amongst the population segregated into ethnic groups controlling different pockets in the city. There is no reason for the residents of Sohrab Goth to fight an invasion standing alongside the residents of Orangi. 90% of the so-called India origin "Muhajir" population want to leave Karachi and it is highly unlikely they will stand by to defend the city. @Kim Jong Un

Yeah, Karachites really annoy me man, but never doubted their commitment to Pakistan, many of them risked a lot to move to Pakistan during partition. My family just stayed on the farms in Punjab we always lIved in. Hard for me to comment on how brave or not they are.
still this toxic city pays 67% of Pakistan's taxes....

according to him ...they speak truth and most trustworthy

let me tell you a little story

My uncle had bought a house in 1998, he retired from Unilever in 2008 and went to KSA.

in 2009, a woman came to his house and told him. That piece of land, did not belong to him!

I know my uncle, he has worked hard all his life. A woman, had the papers of the land too. And she claimed, my uncle has forged the land papers (Which we know he had not!)

thats what Karachi is!

its isnt the matter of who is patriot and who is not but it is of laziness, and not giving a **** to improve your lifestyle...karachities loves pakistan including me....the thing is karachi has a lot of people from different places...some consider it as their permanent homes while others think about going back to their old cities in punjab...
.they will take part in the gureilla warfare maybe but the loss of life will be greater then anything the civillian population can achieve..
taking karach isnt like taking lahore..heck johar is bigger then lahore...lol...even if the IA takes karachi all there valuables would be stolen by dakets...and sindh police will launch a counter offensive cuz the IA wont give them bribes

Jani this is a problem all over Pakistan. Not limited to Karachi.

Mostly correct, major chunk of Karachi population is urban, unlike pashtun/baloch tribes they know nothing about fighting.

Problem with Karachi is PPP is leeching the city day by day and Karachiites are not able to do anything about it. PPP couldn't make Larkana as good as Karachi, so they are on their way to make Karachi as bad as Larkana.

yk what in my area there is a plot which has 20 people claiming owner ship of lol everyone has a copy...karachi is the epitome of curroption

What are the assessed objectives in order of priority of the Indian Navy CBG. ?
- Destruction of the Pakistani Navy and Pakistan's sea board
coastal defenses?
- Blockade of Karachi and Gwadar ?
- Deep cruise missile strikes co-ordinating an Indian Air Force
and Army missile strikes targeting Pakistan's Nuclear
weapons assets and infrastructure ?
- Supporting an amphibious landing assault to capture the
Baluchistan Makran coastline and declare Baluchistan as an
independent state after it cedes control of its mineral wealth
to India ?
India is obviously eyeing Karachi as a war booty
In a "what if " scenario the Indian amphibious invasion may rely on some "India friendly " assets in Baluchistan and Sindh but the situation in Karachi could be different.
Some open questions:
- Would the people of Karachi engage an Indian marine and
navy occupying force in urban guerrilla combat and see the
city become another Gaza or Stalingrad ?
-Given the diversity of the population of Karachi, would there
even be a will to fight an invasion?
Wars are unpredictable but all Indian think tanks believe that a seaborne invasion of Pakistan, and the capture of Karachi is far easier than trying to capture Multan. The capture of Karachi and secession of Baluchistan, Sindh and KPK ( with KPK merging into Afghanistan) would reduce Pakistan to just Punjab which would become a rump state with no seaboard. A puppet Khalistan ( after a deal with Sikhs ) could then be setup merging Pakistani Punjab into Indian East Punjab.
As of now that appears to be the game plan.
@Signalian
Missile strikes from IN destroyers/subs/carrier aircrafts and keeping Pakistani forces engaged in the region with a threat of CBG standing in the south/southeast.
