Didn’t mean to derail the thread, but since it came up, here are a few thoughts.
What’s happening isn’t just ironic, it’s a deep systemic contradiction. Many Pakistanis see it as a betrayal of the very principles the establishment claims to uphold.
Election Rigging: The military backed manipulation of the 2024 elections sidelined Imran Khan and PTI, favoring dynastic parties like PML-N through arrests, media control, and legal barriers.
Selective Accountability: While shielding corrupt elites like PML-N and PPP, the establishment aggressively pursued Khan with charges widely seen as politically motivated.
Weaponized Institutions: Bodies like NAB and segments of the judiciary have been used to silence Khan, while ignoring scandals involving establishment aligned figures.
Corruption Shielded: Instead of dismantling entrenched mafias, the establishment empowered them using selective justice to protect allies and punish dissenters.
Economic Mismanagement: Military interference in civilian governance blocked reforms, destabilized policy continuity, and eroded investor confidence.
Nationalism as Deflection: Anti India sentiment is often used to distract from internal failures. But genuine sovereignty demands internal reform not just external resistance.
Eroded Trust: This double standard has shattered the military’s image as a neutral guardian of national interest. It’s now viewed by many as a partisan power broker protecting its own turf.
28th can be redeployed.
7th is Mirage-III squadron. It was upgraded as air superiority squadron to provide air cover for 8th Mirage-Vs, which have now joined the 50th Squadron which now begs the question how will 50th Squadron get deployed, which is loaded with Mriages.
Secondly, JFT squadrons are swelled up in numbers, which is good as the availability percentage goes up. However, its only JFT near the coastline which will be supporting PN. The F-16s and J-10 are missing.

Where in the world did this appear from in the middle of all that has been going on between the US and India ?
Its a theoretical framework though, not a practical one, like the one between Pakistana and KSA . It covers Coordination & Technological Development Etc.
Though Indians are Pi**ed at the kind of trolling that the US is doing with them, with Trump throwing insults and Hegseth signing Pacts that will require Info Sharing from India without any actual military involvement from the US, in anything.
Also .. Its not even 1st April today.

But mmost Indians seem super pi**ed off at this .. as this is juts a theoretical kind of framework that will require India to take part in defense development and other kinds of cooperation over the next 10 years. In return they will abandon Russian oil. And unlike the Pakistan KSA Pact, this one does not even guarantee US coming to their help for anything.
I was expecting the Indians to be happy but most of them seem to be furious at India selling itself off for nothing. I assume if Trump will continue insulting Modi alongside this pact ?

Nothing surprising. They all are same.
Well I think they are our only options for offense, so:-
1. Deep Strikes (more probability to strike our Western neighbor than Eastern in case of 2 fronts)
2. Night Raids (ROSE variants, tactical bombing of dug-in positions, logistics and supply routes)
3. Anti-ship Raids on IN (5PA2/3 variants, can be rebased back South)
Though I think Mirages will only operate under 2 circumstances:-
1. Pre-emptive strikes (less likely)
2. All out war (absolutely haha)

Their concerns are over China. And those concerns are valid.
Just as USA expects Europe to deal with Russia, USA expects India to deal with China. There are scenarios here where if China attempts certain actions, India will be expected to respond. So I understand the concerns of Indians.
Pakistan is unlikely to trigger such a pact because Pakistan is, by default, defensive in all its military engagements. So the only problem this creates for us is if we wished to carry out a "pre-emptive" strike e.g. over the Indus river issue.
The other issue is that limiting Russian oil (which one assumes is the major trade-off here unless some other apple is not yet disclosed) will harm India's economy.

Mirages primary mission set would likely be airfields suppression and CAS when possible. And barring the limited capability the mirages with exocets have in attacking actual mordern warships. Their most important strategic role is as the PAFs primary nuclear delivery platforms with RAADs.
