Ammonium perchlorate is the compound commonly used in solid propellants for missiles and rockets, like those of the Space Shuttle.

  • Primary propellant ingredient:
    Ammonium perchlorate is the main oxidizer used in many solid rocket propellants.

  • Rocket and missile fuel:
    This ammonium perchlorate provides the oxygen needed for the fuel to burn, powering the solid-fuel motors of missiles and rockets.

  • International controls:
    Because of its direct link to missile propellant, there are international sanctions and restrictions on the procurement and transfer of sodium perchlorate to countries involved in missile programs
    I didnt know what it was so googled it lol but could it also be that they do produce it but need a vast amount in short notice to produce missiles quickly and if true let’s say they need it for up to 500 missiles in short notice does that mean Iran has their missile production is repaired far quicker than previously thought maybe those underground missile cities are now also their underground city missile factories as well

Yeah, more knowledgeable people than me said the destruction of the mixers hurt more than the nuclear sites. What I don't understand is if you have one fuel mixer facility for your missiles why the hell is it out in the open? And so easily taken out? Just poor planning.....this is why I call them ringkissers....because they're not professionals, they're insiders, and they're incompetent.

It was said that mixing components for solid fuelled missiles is a very dangerous process, therefore the IRGC can only locate the buildings in open areas.
Liquid fueled missiles are produced underground. So that suggest that only solid fueled missiles production capability was cut, not liquid one.
You have for example two weeks ago an explosion in a US military factory that completely leveled the plant.


While we don´t know if that plant was producing warheads or high explosives, you can extrapolate that same cautions should be taken in Iran with ballistic missiles. That is why you see walls of sand around all buildings, to avoid chain explosions

Anyone can have told you this even before the war. Literally every country on earth except Iran only uses these types of missiles as nuclear delivery. Even countries with extensive GNSS systems don't use them for precision strikes.

Yeah and they're launched from right outside Iran's airspace not from their own territory. They're much shorter range missiles, more like a theater ballistic missile like the Iskander. Iran's SRBMs are more accurate than our MRBMs too.

they are not SRBMs ... they hit Qatar from the Red Sea 1400km away using these missiles. with multiple precise hits on the same building (1-2 missiles slightly missed by <50m, and the intelligence was wrong as the Hamas leaders were in a different room, but overall the accuracy even at this range was very high).

thats what i was thinking...cuz its not that good of an oxidizer and most formulas use AP on different micron sizes....

But anyways, my point is that only Iran chose to pursue this retarded strategy of long range conventional missiles because every other country in history recognized its not a cost-effective war fighting method. Albert Einstein over here thinks Iran should have invested in an air force instead of BMs to attack Israel supported by the greatest air force on the planet (USA).
