Indian Missiles and Guided Munitions

can also buy from turkey they have good weapons

The Israelis have had massive input in joint development of missles radars and electrionic ware fare for three decades

They are the first to offer support equipment intelligence and expertise in crisis situations

The military industrial complex India has today is partly down to Israel
Of course zionist demons' uncanny ability to specifically target civilians enmasse are second to none and looked upon with envy in Indian defense establishment.

I am a bit preplexed, Israel’s green line radar has a range of 500km but Indias radar, a derivative has a range of 1500 kms!!! Any who , how good are these and how effective with the ability to track Pakistani weapons fired within the detection range of these radars.

Technically yes it can -
A missile flying at 100 km altitude can be detected at about 1612 km, and if the missile is higher, at around 250 km altitude, the detection range can extend to approximately 2540 km. The maximum detection distance increases with the altitude of the missile, even though the radar itself is limited by Earth's curvature.

In practice, radar installations such as Ground-Based Early Warning radars or systems like this can detect targets over 2,000 km away because they track missiles in their midcourse phase at high altitudes. Over-the-horizon radar systems also exist that utilize ionospheric reflection to detect beyond the line of sight, but these are specialized systems beyond typical ballistic missile radars which are very proprietary tech.

The distance between the two countries and their respective critical points means detection is only one problem of a 6-10 minute warning chain.

Thanks for clarifying . We use multiple re entry vechies, how efficient would it be to get a targeting solution within 6-8 minutes

Solution can be within seconds - then it’s a question of hitting a bullet with another bullet.
Question is - how do you know if they are nuclear or conventional?

I wonder how effective this would be, as the US patriot system and THAD both try to kill incommming missiles mid flight. We saw in Ukraine, Israel and Iraq that the these system were unable to stop Mutiple war heads traveling at supersonic speeds.

The famous video of the latest Russian system against the Ukrainian weapons plant where the clouds changed color and over 9 warheads all reached thiertargets is proof of how hard it is to defend against such a system. Western analysts were shaking in their boots as these 5000 km ranged weapons could effectively shut down all NATO air bases in Europe.

Since MRBM fly lower and a different trajectory, I wonder how effective would this system be in the Pakistan - India conflict in a non nuclear scenarios against Indian airbases.

Its funny that even after get pummelled by Pakistani PL15s Indians still think that we have some sort of restriction in terms of access. It is this sort of thinking that exists in Indian war rooms as well. Once is mistake twice is a blunder thrice will be utter stupidity. After reading Indian comments here it reminds me of story of hunter and lion in the jungle. Two Hunters go to jungle to hunt lion. Lion runs after them one of them climbs the tree other one play dead. Lion being a sexual predator bangs one playing dead. Hunters give it another try next day same result. Third day hunter who was Violated by lion climb up tree thinking lion will fcuk up his companion but this time lion gets bored and climbs up the tree. Lesson here is that Indians might try to play smart and climb up tree to escape fate but just remember lion here is bored of your typical tactics as well.

FYI story basically looses its meaning when not told in punjabi 🤣

the real game changer will be the laser 1000 kilowatt 5 dollar for interception and not few milions of dollar of missile

Intercepting even a fraction of all is much better than being unable to intercept any.

India is set to significantly boost its air power as the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) upgrades the Astra Mk-2 air-to-air missile. According to sources, the missile’s range is being extended to over 200 kilometres, a substantial increase from its previous 160 km range.

Following this upgrade, the Indian Air Force (IAF) plans to place an initial order of approximately 700 missiles. These will be deployed on frontline fighter jets such as the Sukhoi-30MKI and Tejas. This move will not only bolster the air force’s strength but also position India among the few nations capable of launching Beyond Visual Range (BVR) missiles over distances exceeding 200 km.

The Astra Mk-2 missile will enhance India’s standoff strike capability, allowing Indian pilots to target enemy aircraft over 200 kilometres away without entering the enemy’s air defence zone. This upgrade is viewed as a direct countermeasure to China’s PL-15 missile. While the maximum strike capability of Pakistan’s PL-15E missile is around 145 kilometres, India’s new Astra Mk-2 will surpass this range.

Dual Pulse Rocket Motor

The dual pulse solid rocket motor technology being integrated into the Astra Mk-2 enables it to compete with any modern missile. The first pulse accelerates the missile to high speeds, while the second pulse provides a new burst of energy in the final launch phase to accurately target enemy aircraft.

This technology is also employed in the American AMRAAM missile. Defence experts suggest that DRDO can achieve a range of over 200 km through fuel formulation improvements and engine design refinements.

Big Step Towards A Self-Reliant India

The Astra programme is a significant milestone in the ‘self-reliant India’ mission. The existing Astra Mk-1 (100 km range) achieved notable success during Operation Sindoor. The new missile will feature completely indigenous seekers, fibre-optic gyroscopes, and ECM resistance systems, making it formidable in electronic warfare. This marks a decisive step towards reducing India’s dependence on foreign weapons.
