What other country is doing rain dances as policy now? Does the government have another solution besides abandon Tehran?
In what other country on Earth would the president respond to a major drought by suggesting they abandon their capital, a city of 9 million?

There are a lot of really smart and capable people in Iran, but most of them will never get a chance to contribute. The smarter and more aware someone is, the more likely they are to see IRI for what it is and reject it. That also means they’ll never be trusted or allowed anywhere near power. IRI appoints people based on loyalty and religious ideology, not competence. Half of them are obsessed with enforcing hijab laws, and the other half is busy pretending to fight the West so we stay under sanctions while they steal the country’s wealth and enrich themselves by taking advantage of the situation. Thats why the best solution they can come up with to solve the water crisis is mullahs dancing around fire, praying for rain or blaming the West for stealing our clouds.

Do you really think that if the country that built qanats 3,000 years ago, created one of the first advanced administrative systems, and managed the largest empire the world had ever seen were run by nationalists who cared about Iran, we couldn’t produce and find capable people to solve the water crisis?

We have by far some of the largest oil and gas reserves in the world, along with immense mineral wealth and natural resources. There is no reason a nation this rich should be facing problems like this.
