Don't lie, GCAP will use Europe's newly developed 13t (28600lbf) engine, which has weaker thrust than WS-10C(14.5t 32000lbf) and F110(14.6t 32200lbf).
RR was producing Pegasus with a version for the AV8B+ of that engine with a maximum thrust of 23.800lbf.

I think Turkish approach to a high thrust engine it is very pragmatic. First batch with GE110 and gather some experience and foreign funds for their TF35.000.

If Tf35.000 fails, they can always fund to develop a further evolution of GE110 or even join any UK path for their GCAP engine. FCAS will need a scaled up version of the french M88 for sure also.

Everybody will need a high thrust low bypass turbofan for their projects. Until now it was not mandatory to have big engines for fighter jets, but 5 and 6 generation aircrafts require larger airframes to keep their armament inside, so from US to South Korea and all over the world, if you want to hide your weapons you must sweat your shirt and/or wallet. And Turkey will do in a way or another. They did it before with UAVs and foreign engines and will do again. No problem with that.

do you know how the high thrust class engines is difficult to develop? No one saying this engine will not tested before 2040 but not in 2028-2029 that you referring, you have limited resources/ scientists/ engineers compare to China, China spend and invest 20 Billion $$$ to mature its turban manufacturing capability and WS-15 project took 15 years to complete, with a limited resources/Scientists and engineers there is no way you can complete your TF-35000 project in 2028-2029, but my best guesstimate that TF-35000 engine will ready for testing on KAAN in 2033-2035 time-frame

However, don't forget that we were already manufacturing everything for the GE F110 engine under license, except for the combustion chamber. In other words, we have the manufacturing expertise for high-power turbofan engines. We're not starting from scratch as it might appear.

1 -- Türkiye has experience in producing parts and modules for turbofan Engines since 1987 ....... ( over 1.500 parts for 50 different types of military and commercial engine programs for GE , ROLLS ROYCE , SAFRAN , etc )

2 -- and Turkiye gained extensive experience through years of manufacturing GE-F110 Engine components and under license production


Now Turkiye has blisks and spools manufacturing technologies , Single crystal blade casting technology also Materials and progress technologies

-- titanium casting and nickel superalloy casting technologies
-- coating technologies
-- ceramics and porous structures

Developing new engine is much much harder to assembling older engines you have have to work with extreme temperatures core, you must develop new alloys for fan blades to sustain increase temperatures, you also have to work with LP/HP turbines and compressors and bypass ratios
