CDF-will be army chief and overall commander of all armed forces and CNSC (Commander of National Strategic command) will operate under the direction of CDF and will hold direct operational command over the army,navy,air force,ARFC,drone and cyber units.

So what happens when this CDF is eliminated at the beginning of a conflict ? Western/Israeli doctrine of decapitation would work beautifully in Pakistan. India or its proxies would just need to keep assassinating or intimidating or deterring whoever is in the CDF position and the rest of the State will remain paralyzed.

The PLA did indeed historically have a Commander-in-Chief position. Only Zhu De held this position. Later, China abolished the position.

However, even earlier, the PLA clearly established the core principle of "the Party commands the gun." The PLA's supreme command was the responsibility of the Central Military Commission (CMC). During Zhu De's tenure as Commander-in-Chief of the PLA, he also served as Vice Chairman of the CMC, while Mao Zedong held the chairmanship. In other words, the PLA Commander-in-Chief was subordinate to the CMC.

I thought he had already accomplished that with previous constitutional and legal changes which extended Army chief tenure to five years from three, renewable and retroactive. So he was set to remain army chief till 2032.

These new amendments seem aimed at stifling any sort of dissent from state forces in the future to major policy changes, like becoming part of Abraham Accords and officially joining the US-Israel-GCC gang.
