I was just thinking how Nawaz Sharif reacted to this, we know Shehbaz Sharif was chosen for specific purpose.

Why don't they adopt the Chinese system make a single national party which elects its leader focus on the nation and do away with this pointless joke of a system.

For that they must work for people. And work for people is like death sentence for them.

I don't think this is a "farcade." I believe it's an inevitable part of political reform in Pakistan.

Every country and every group of people, based on different cultural backgrounds, historical processes, and international environments, needs its own unique management model. In the process of exploration, various controversies will inevitably arise, and "wrong" policies are entirely possible.

Before inventing the light bulb, Edison experimented with countless materials. Ultimately, he succeeded. But he could never directly experiment with the last material... The same applies to politics, national management models...

Since 1949, Chinese politics has undergone many significant changes. Many of these major transformations have brought "disasters" to Chinese society. However, these problems were unavoidable. It is precisely because of these "catastrophic" political changes that we have learned which paths are feasible and which are not...

But China's current political system is not applicable to Pakistan.

Pakistan's current political system is primarily based on Western political systems, combined with Pakistan's specific circumstances. It differs fundamentally from China's political system in its basic structure. If Pakistan were to clone China's political model, it would bring serious disaster to Pakistan.

A small example: In China, there's something called the GFW (Great Firewall). It's one of the tools of China's political control model. If Pakistan adopted it, you'd be the first to object!

China is centralised in governance only with a merit-based party system. CCP is not involved in air carrier, or infrastructure or making cars, etc. China is highly decentralised in economic activity. Small cities, provinces are ruled by their mayor and governors type people.

So, we have adopted Chinese system just in a power grab. We have one party, in fact, one man, ruling the country.
@PakAl @Meengla This is Muglia Sultanat. SS can never be a strong person. All Mughal kings were horseback fighters like a COAS, basically CnCs. They have stable reign until succession time comes. Then there were chaotic times, and the new ruler appeared. Do you know why Bin Qasim and Musa Bin Naseer were prosecuted? Because they supported the outgoing King's son to be the next ruler. However, when King's brother succeeded to be the new King, he removed all the bureaucracy of judges, generals, ulemas, etc and killed them (directly or indirectly). The public was out of the loop and had no interest in it. Modern states fight with their people's backing. That is why countries like Iraq, SA, Syria are easy to take over, but you cannot conquer China, Korea, Japan, Vietnam, etc., even if you equip them with 1970s tech.

Going through 10 pages of 'discussion' and all I have seen is a specific but*hurt crowd just crying as usual. It's like the forum has been invaded by 12 year olds always whining and ranting about one thing.

No discussion on what exactly happens if CDF position is actually formed, and what operational differences will be there in comparison to the post of CJCSC. Good or bad, what can we expect, I mean there needs to be an in-depth discussion, something you expect to see on a Defence forum when you log in.

It's sad that PDF Admin and Mods allow threads to become ranting competition, there's no substance here.

When officers and soldiers in uniform engage in activities outside their military profession, do you expect conversation to be restricted to just the operational aspects when discussing the role of the Chief of Defense Forces?

It's up to the military to provide substance for us to discuss. The majority of the country is still trying to determine whether this is a political party, a business conglomerate, or a standing professional military.
