I wouldn't bank on Iranian missile accuracy. But Israel probably counted some actual hits as "hitting open areas" to save face. After all Netanyahu is trying to look as good as possible. Regardless in the next war accuracy wont matter. Iran will be striking large and pact facilities like oil refineries, desalination plants, or electrical plants. So the only thing from this article I’m taking with a huge grain of salt is the only 36 direct impacts in populated areas what I’m actually looking at is the interception rate and what supposedly hit open areas and what was intercepted or hit populated areas![]()
Iran Ramping Up Missile Production As Another Potential War With Israel Looms
Building on lessons learned from the 12-Day War, Iran is working to be ready to overwhelm Israeli defenses in a future conflict.www.twz.com
Iran launched 631 missiles during the 12-Day War, of which 500 reached Israel, according to assertions made by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF). Of those missiles that did land on Israeli soil, 243 hit open areas, requiring no air defense response. A total of 36 missiles hit populated areas, while 221 missiles were intercepted. That represented an 86% success rate, the Israeli analysis claimed. We cannot independently verify the details provided by Israel.
So number is way off the Israelis are only admitting to strikes on residential or commercial areas they’re nit even acknowledging the military sites struck all over Israel Syria West Bank and Gaza![]()
Irans accuracy was getting better and better after each round that was a fact was even more clear when Israel cut off all news feeds and threaten citizens with jail if they photographed any more of Iranian attacksI wouldn't bank on Iranian missile accuracy. But the article quotes Israel saying only 36 impacts were recorded in populated areas we know of quite a few more than that and they totally leave out any military infrastructure that was hit and we know of quite a few were hit as well not saying it was perfect but the numbers don’t add up at allIran stopped trying to hit small targets in a precise way, and instead resorted to larger targets of some actual economic value like oil refineries, which were successful as they were within the CEP window of Irans missiles. That change in strategy is what led to the censorship. A lesson learnt for Iran if there is another round of exchanges.
Absolutely, I've been saying this for a while....we hurt them a lot more than they let on. We actually surprised them...once the iron dome was pierced they got scared. I remember seeing Netanyahu's face on TV and interviews on Isreali channels...he looked bad, like confused.I wouldn't bank on Iranian missile accuracy. What is this Site 81 ? Do you mean Dimona facility ? Another site that was hit but covered up was the Prime Minister's office.Maybe "Site 81" and Mossad Facilities are considered Open Areas as well.
Shah bought every nut and bolt of his IIAF from the U.S , not to mention all the American contractors on the ground in Iran doing all the critical work for the IIAF. IRGCAF is today completely indigenous. You can't compare the twoMore and more information is coming out of how Jews were beaten despite hiding behind layers of US tech and direct involvement.
IRGCAF is a different type of beast. This force is like what Shahi build IIAF was.
