Modi realized operation tandoor ended up roasting his own forces, and that war isn't a game.

A war with Pakistan would not succeed, and he's come to realize it. That's why he's keeping quiet.

No Round 2 this year then. Losing 4-6 fighter jets for meaningless PR focused airstrikes is not something the Indians can afford, even if they have more funds than us.

Or maybe they feel they have already equalised by blasting in Islamabad.
 
If you have been following the Indians news nodes you may have picked up on something. They tried to rope Turkey into the narrative by claiming the perpetrators were given a safe space in Turkey to meet their dastardly Pakistani contacts. And within a few hours that news piece vanished from their website. Almost makes it look like they have a playback of alternate scenarios with specified triggers but someone jumped the gun on this one. We know they hate Muslims in all shapes and forms but how stupid do you have to be to try pointing a finger at Turkiye as well.

They have overprimed their media to parrot and propagate hate. Now they cannot contain it. Proof of this is in the wide swing and correction of media narrative that you we are witnessing. Though it implies their militsry is less enthusiastic than last time.

this time blame is likely going to the local muslim indian populace
I feel hard to sympathize, these people have been continously trying to prove their loyalty and spread venom against pakistan.

However i wont rule out any surprise attack, we must stay vigilant. everywhere, everytime, 24/7.

Another far fetched possibility could be that they had a trigger but certain measures occurred which made their plans no longer feasible nor without other ancillary consequences.

If they take the name of Pakistan then they would be compelled to start a war, which they seemingly do not want. If BJP takes this much insult from their own media and does not do anything, then deterrence from May is pretty much confirmed.

It's possible BJP wanted to attack but the Service chiefs may have advised restraint in meeting with Modi and this time he decided to take their advice. I also think India is waiting for more S400 batteries to beef up its air defense and more Israeli missiles. Then India will attack.

my other theory is that this was due to election cycle

Look it happened very coincidentally last day of 10th november before phase 2
On 11th they were propagating
On 12th now they calm again after poll conclude.
Why calm now? Why switch up now?

Because it was to gain votes.

so, as long as, they have a fear of loosing many lives, not much is going to take place!

moment, they build some barricade or defenses, all hell will break loose!
