Still no CIWS. Anyone figure what is going on? I mean if coming from Turkiey without AShM loaded i get that, it means PN will likely install these themselves. However what is PN planning with the CIWS. I was initially under the impression that they would use Gokdeniz, however if that were the case I'd think thelat Turkiey would have installed these already on Babur and Khaibur. Granted it could be funding (dont install the weapon yet because we can pay for it). However i suspect they are waiting foe Levant or Goksur to become available. They would be far more suitable to answer Brahmos especially considering they low SAM load out already with these vessels.

12 cell VLS? Jeez are we deliberately neglecting AD of our ships? F-22's, this Babur class, and even Jinnah class has questionable AD systems on board.

Maybe we need to look beyond VLS numbers and study the doctrine of PN as a whole. Maybe the number of VLS per boat stems from the doctrine itself and not $$$. Because in one of the other threads or maybe this one, the cost differential that was worked out between 16 to 32 cells was around US$80 million if I am not mistaken.

PN just doesnt have money, literally, im guessing alot of the budget next year will go to equipping these ships instead

A much desired induction and a force multiplier but why we name our weapons after outsiders/invaders . It could've been named for instance after any indigenous personality or land mark like Porus or Rai Ahmed or Indus or mohinjo dharo or Cecil Chaudhry etc class .
