Was it false bravado flying an aircraft
You have to understand the severe pressure the Indian air force is under. You can blame Pakistan for that or you may blame Trump and his constant needling.

It just got under their famously thin skin and they believed they needed to perform a circus act to prove they still had some mojo.

Well.... circus act is exactly what we got.

Fake News.
That was water.
Crash happened as pilot tried loop at much lower altitude than allowed under SOP.

If draining water is a regular thing they would have come equipped with a pan or bucket and not shopping bags…

I really think that the widescale adoption of Soviet equipment, training and tactics had a detrimental effect on the IAF.

just an example , i also remember reading about early soviet missiles and how bad they were , like they seeker couldn't pick up a target so they painted the target bright yellow but soviets being soviets also painted the road near the target so in the end it missed the target ( Indians still use that missiles btw 😭 😭 )

Let's be honest. No one gives a damn about this Indian loss. We might not celebrate, but we aren't crying for them.
And their best and most humane/decent people talk openly of stopping water for Pakistan depriving 250mn people of water. They openly and proudly talk about this, is that human? How can we friend such people?

God works in mysterious ways.

If you look at this video...the front portion of Tejas rebounced and went further...may have been the cockpit

Look at the channel name, newdity/nudity :P

This is nothing mig-21 achieved 50+% in iaf service
Mig-21 are notorious to maintain. Even PAF had a staggering 22% accident rate with F-7 if you consider the period of crashes being from only 50-60 F-7. Plus Pakistan had experience with an even worse Soviet design, the Mig-19 farmer. Not to mention the Mig-21 was the first supersonic aircraft of the IAF and was extensively used since it's induction, plus the Indians just don't do maintenance like our PAF boys.

This was the 8th Tejas crash

1) 19 Dec 2003 - Bengaluru, Karnataka
2) 07 July 2009 - Bengaluru, Karnataka
3) 17 March 2012 - Bengaluru, Karnataka
4) 28 March 2014 - Bengaluru, Karnataka
5) 01 Feb 2019 - Bengaluru, Karnataka
6) 18 Nov 2020 -Hosur, Tamil Nadu
7) 04 July 2022 - Jaisalmer, Rajasthan
8) 21 Nov 2025 - Dubai, UAE

This list looks wrong. Most places only list 2 crashes, and that is roughly inline with my own recollection of its history. Do you have any references/documentation for your list ?

So..., i'm gonna break down the crash from the eyes of someone who was there.

I had been going everyday & since today was the last, I thought i'd cover everything that I may have missed out earlier.

'round noon - I was tired of walking 'bout & thought i'd spend the last few hours in the company of the JF-17 Crew (Pilots & Maintainers).

We were just behind the Thunder & you could see today there was a space empty because the huge Emirates B777 was gone (operational reasons, I suppose).

After the Indian Aerobatics Team landed 1by1 - their names & type of aircraft they flew were called. Just a while later, the Tejas took flight. Now I for some reason was assuming that the Rafale was about to take flight. A short while later, we all saw the Tejas raced passed us. In all honesty - I wasn't really watching the performance as I had already seen twice in this Airshow.

Then a short while later it did that maneuver passed us - we all saw it.

One of the guys went "Oh - Oh - Oh" & BOOM.

I swear, I heard some screams. I heard one guy yelling the 'F' word like 10-times.

None of us knew how to react, but I felt numb for a few seconds & was trying to register what happened. Then I realized that it had gone down near where there is a Road the leads to the Airport or to the Highway.

Reactions were different. I think I mentioned that inside the Main Hall - the HAL Pavillion was pretty grim & they had closed for the Public. Some Officers were on the phone non-stop with lord knows who.

For some people, I saw them cracking jokes (unrelated to the Crash). Complimenting each others shoes. Where to party tonite. I mean..., it didn't really bother many.

Now I want to come to the Crash & some sh!t people have posted. I know there are some low-lives from the Multiverse ( DFB.jpg ). Take this message there because I know you lot don't know d!ck and are acting just like CULKI Sharma.

1. This Jet that Crashed is NOT even the same that had been leaking fluid on the 1st Day, for f#*k sake. The one leaking was the Static Display Tejas. If you all go back to that video, check the Tail Number.

Now, India may have bought 3 tejas for the Air Show. 1 that stays for Static Display at all time. 1 Flies & a backup.

2. Even though JF-17 was NOT part of the Aerial Display, they still brought a backup.

3. France did not bother with any backup. Everyday, at noon - they would backup the Static Display Rafale & taxi it out for the Aerial Display.

Ofcourse it can't be India without mirch-masala...

Behold - Indian Media already

Sabotage.jpg
Seriously...

This is Dubai Airport. Not Mumbai. They have cameras literally everywhere. Indians are forgetting that the USAF F-35 is parked there too. They most certainly have someone watching it at nite too.

Then another Chay.jpg Indian Channel released this a few hours back...

That photo of Indian Military & Pakistanis is from Dubai Air Show 2021. Those guys in the khakhi coveralls aren't/weren't serving Offivers of the PAF, but rather working for a company called: uit

I can post the link of that photo in the video from our old [PDF]. Seriously..., i'm not tryin' to rub salt on the wounds, but (some) Indians are just beyond shamless.

Either they fabricates stories OR they don't actully do any proper journalism.

We can do the JF-17 vs TEJAs, but another time.

Today a highly professional pilot lost his life - leaving behind a Family who may have been watching his performance in India through the internet.

Parents lost their son. A woman lost her husband. Child(ren) lost a Father.

I don't know the deal with the Tejas, but if it weren't Indian, I doubt any Indian would think highly of it. The jet is cursed. First they had a number of Tejas assembled & ready - but waiting for Engines from US. Now that they got their Engines, there appears to be software issue. Like I said, "Cursed".

Everyone is saying it's the pilot fault but I for one think it's the plane. The barrel roll feels almost forced, with a bad slipstream which feels more like a vortex when it was going on a roll. Maybe electronic issue? Cuz it's a tail less delta wing, meaning it's electronic stability would ultimately make it a functioning plane or not. I think it then went into a stall as the pilot tried to fight for control. But maybe I'm wrong, can someone analyze it as flight actuator faults?
