SMH 🙄
The production line for GE-404 IN20 was shut down in 2016 and the South Korean supplier for parts unique to the GE-404 IN20 was in financial difficulty. These issues are now resolved and GE plans to deliver all engines before the end of financial year 2026.

Sorry I lied, the truth is the US is very afraid of Tejas.

A gem of explanations from the Bharati experts! One Sikh folk may be right: the pilot got disoriented.....

Have been saying this for ages, many on here grant the IAF with a similar ethos and professionalism as the PAF, possibly due to the fact that both air forces derived from the RAF.
Although this may have been true in the 50s and 60s, I really think that the widescale adoption of Soviet equipment, training and tactics had a detrimental effect on the IAF.
Yes, they have some good kit, but culture, training and ethos is more similar to former Eastern Block then it is to US/NATO
Sabre, F-104 then later the F-16 ensured PAF was exposed to the very highest training, safety standards and culture.
My opinion anyway.

Good Post.
The Soviets, as well as the current Russians, were/are into meat grinding wars. Big inefficiencies. Relying on the quantity more than the quality. Indians have adapted that mindset, it seems by joining the Soviet block. NATO/the West was more averse to human losses during the Cold War. Pakistan too adapted a more 'quality' mindset perhaps due to the much smaller population vs India and due to Pakistan's resource constraints vs India.
One can't help but feel that India is a lumbering giant while Pakistan is very nimble. Even in decision making processes, Pakistan doesn't have the second guesses, the public pressure, the electoral considerations which a more democratic Indian leadership faces--often to its own detriment.

You have to understand the severe pressure the Indian air force is under. You can blame Pakistan for that or you may blame Trump and his constant needling.
It just got under their famously thin skin and they believed they needed to perform a circus act to prove they still had some mojo.
Well.... circus act is exactly what we got.

Right!! Domestic political compulsions transferring to military affairs! Several of the statements of the topmost Indian military professionals in last few months point toward the domestic politics percolating in even military circles.

@UndercoverJIX

Maybe someone hurled a stone at it and it became as destructive as a SAM? Proving your theory correct from the other thread?

Any takers?
Not my theory, It is their own claim.
But you might have a filter installed after a certain raid and insident in Islamabad, which affected to in a cetain way.

We won't be able to see the JF-17 flight demonstration because of the Indian plane accident; the remaining 10 flight shows have been canceled.

Good. As far as Pakistan is concerned, it is 'Mission Accomplished'. I don't think the remainder of the air show is going to mean much given what just happened. Plus, it is the UAE with a large Indian/Israeli presence and so chances for a sabotage on Pakistan's fighter jets can't be ruled out.
I am seeing that multiple Indian analysts are pointing finger toward America and Pakistan. A retired Major General from India is even insinuating that the Pakistani pilots visited the Tejas demo area in the air show, thus implying a sabotage!

Different video of the crash. The plane was flying at a good heights but does a big nose dive before the crash, not sure if that's normal, or else it would have easily finished the manoeuvre.

There are probably dozens, if not hundreds of videos out there of the crash. Really bad optics for India especially after what happened in the recent air war between India and Pakistan and especially what President Trump has been saying about the Indian air force losses in the May 2025 conflict.
Imagine a salesman coming to a Convention Center where there is already stiff competition, trying to sell something--let's say a motorcycle--and during the test ride, the motorcycle's wheels come apart, starts smoking, brakes failing...
Just a crude analogy but equally applicable in this case.

PS. If President Trump says something about this crash then please tag me!
