BTW, I think excluding Gen Beg, all have foreign properties or nationalities or some interests. This is what I heard. These people don't declare anything. I hope as the IMF has ordered us, so we may know in the foreseeable future.
I am not saying it's not their right, but it stains their claims of patriotism. In addition, one can question how they managed that, but at the cost of his life, property, bank accounts and career. The Ahmed Norani case is an example. Asad Toor says Air Marshal Jawad was court martialed for his white paper about the Air Chief's misuse of power.

Let's stick to facts please. it would help to know that you cannot apply for commission to any branch of armed forces with dual nationality. It simply does not happen because it is not permitted. So the question of officers and their spouses applying for foreign citizenship while they are in service does not arise.

Once retired, they can do whatever any private citizen of Pakistan is entitled to. Despite this, the vast majority of Pakistani officers stay put in Pakistan.

True, can not apply for comossion etc while having a Dual Nationality.
But, During the service, if your Rank and appointment brings the opportunity, whole family can have Dual Nationality, Business and assets in a foreign country, which is a loop hole.

It all srats with Student Visa.

Same loop hole is used by Politicians etc.

Even for bribe and commisions, a family member is used.

After retirement, they can not do whatever they want. Rules and criteria differes based upon different things.

Even an ordinary Commissioned officer can not move out of Pakistan and seek emp;oy,emt at least 2 years.

So many other rules and regulations, If you know you know.

Question arises, What are the means to acquire foreign assets, support outside Pakistan, and assets. during sevice.
Big chunk of the benifits, We get after retirement.

ISLAMABAD: In one of the most consequential structural reforms in Pakistan’s military hierarchy, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir is likely to assume the unified title of Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) alongside his position as Chief of Army Staff (COAS), following the enforcement of the Pakistan Army (Amendment) Bill 2025.

The new designation, effective immediately after the notification issued by the government, will appear in all official documents, military communications, and media references.

President Asif Ali Zardari had assented to the Army, Air Force and Navy Amendment Bills on November 15 after their parliamentary approval, paving the way for redefining command arrangements in the armed forces.

Under the amended law, the COAS will concurrently serve as the Chief of Defence Forces for a five-year term, with Field Marshal Munir’s tenure restarting from the date of the new notification.

Gens Beg, Kakar, Karamat, Kayani, Sharif, and even Bajwa reside in Pakistan. So please spare us the usual nonsense.

Most of Bajwa's and Sharif's family live abroad. Even if these generals like Kayani stay behind in Pakistan, their families move abroad.

I imagine it must be very easy for western intelligence agencies to pressure our officers for information when their kids study abroad.
