Tejas aircraft crash In Dubai...UPDATE

I feel people are forgetting the us can’t actually get india to buy f35 even if they wanted to. The aircraft is still the intellectual property of LM and they are not in favour of selling it to india. LM has for last 20 years pitched india f-16Vs for this reason as neither they or us allies would want india to have access to the restricted platform
Yes. I am sure the US and other NATO countries wouldn't want Russian hands all over Indian F-35s from the get go.

Very few if not only one put attentions about Engine flame and unspent fuel rushing through afterburner.

I hope you will do some research on that also.

I would scrap the Tejas mark1a has front line fighter
Build and induct the twin seater as combat trainer IE 80/100 planes

Killing two birds

The Rafale needs to be ordered

And get mark 2 inducted asap

150 Rafale
150Tejas mark two
250 super Mki
100 two seater Tejas one only combat trainer gap fillers

All by 2035-2040 max
Then move to Amca 2040
Rely on more S400

Everything sounds reasonable and likely doable, except for the 2035-2040 period bracket.

2040 is like 14 years away

The super Mki is upgrade only in-house certainly doable

France will supply the jets if India coughs up 30 billion quid which they have or can arrange over decade

That leaves the elephant in the room Hal and Tejas

Even your dream is all fullied, that gives IAF around five hundred 4.5th gen jets in the year of 2040, yeah, that sounds just awful.

I know you called a dream

But
It's induction of 114 Rafales and 150 Tejas mark2 over 15 years

How is that a dream

I think the latest defense budget is going to be 95billion dollars a year
At 2.3% of gdp

Over 15 years that is fine since 286 planes are here already in Su30mki and Rafale

You say 500 planes well fixed wing combat fleets are getting smaller by the year.

Israeli air force has only 350 planes
RAF and luftwaffe about 250
Turkey japan south Korea all around 300

Future Indian air power is going to built around
S400 they are offering five more regiments doubling the fleet
Drones
Sudarshan chakra air defense
Bigger AWACS fleets
And long range hypersonic weapons both land and sea based

Those 500 planes will be enough until Amca arrives in no's to get back to 600 plus in no's

I think this is most likely what will happen

Real air power to hit and destroy enemy infrastructure is not just fixed wing combat planes launching cruise missiles or bombs

It's array of
Air launched
Land launched
Sea launched

Cruise missles
Loitering munitions
Drones

Also
Air defense is not intercept fighters with Bvrs only
But as India showed inops Sindoor it's the presence of ultra long range multi layered missile shield
The enemy did not fly it's planes at all with radius of 200km of borders both sides ...for fear of the s400 ..

That's air power real air superiority

But It's induction of 114 Rafales and 150 Tejas mark2 over 15 years

How is that a dream

Given that CAC produces already 100-120 J-20 per year and SAC will soon ramp up production of the J-35/J-35A likely also topping 100+ aircraft per year it is just not enough.

So what India plans to introduce within 15 years - and we all know how credible such forecasts are - is what China produces already now in less than 2 years.
Even more, India gets only 4th generation fighters, while China gets 5th generation fighters.

So still a dream in your opinion?

First, Tejas Mk1A is not a front line fighter, it is fighter jet for point defense, replacing role of MIg-21.

Second, combat trainers are good for adding up number instead IAF can go for MALE Drones

LOL.

There's a saying in Chinese: "打人不打脸(When hitting someone, don't hit them in the face)."

You need to let him save face.

So when is China going to attack us ?
