Council or embassy members shouldn't accept an invitation for political debates in the first place. No sane person can defend what is happening in Pakistan according to international laws. He can't defend the undefendable broken thing.

defending against some international standard. It is a human rights violation (UN Mandela Rules) to isolate a person for 15+ days. How can the officer defend that?
