The National Center for the Development of Wildlife

adopts the Farasan Islands Reserve as the first Saudi marine reserve to be included in the "Ramsar" Convention— The Impact:• Enhancing the Kingdom's presence in global environmental agreements• Supporting the sustainability of ecosystems and the conservation of biodiversity• Affirming the importance of the Farasan Islands as a major marine habitat

Too much to post with the constant updates and extreme amount of mega and giga projects all across KSA.

Some interesting reports about gold mines and mines in KSA, among them the famous and ancient Mahd Al-Dhahab mine that I briefly mentioned earlier. Run by the state mining company Maaden.

This will interest many nations globally

This is the company (main state mining company in KSA) that I was talking about in post 3.

Not a coincidence. Also KSA has made other such discoveries in the past 1 year but smaller in size. This is an enormous discovery and only a small part of the excavation area (27%) has been excavated and here we are talking about a microscopic part overall of the entire Arabian-Nubian Shield.

This is a 4 year old video by Caspian Report but a lot has changed since then, with even more findings and much, much larger estimates of mineral wealth.

KSA has a respectable mining sector but given the size of KSA and how little has been excavated we are at the very beginning in terms of large scale mining etc. Not yet at the levels of Australia in this regard but the potential is definitely there if utilized.

For most countries such a discovery is potentially life changing nevertheless. Depending on population size too of course. For KSA not so much given our enormous natural and mineral wealth (proven).

Anyway this was also discovered 1-2 months ago:

"Italian "Massimo" website:#Saudi Arabia has discovered gold deposits extending 125 kilometers in the Mecca region, in one of its largest modern discoveries, which enhances the development of the mining sector and economic diversification."

The entire Arabian Shield in Hijaz and Western KSA is literally a gold mine.

But it is a challenging geography to mine in given the size and overall geography which varies from enormous volcanic areas the size of Missouri (some of the largest and highest concentration of volcanoes in the world), mountains (most of the territory), 1000's of valleys, desert etc.

It is not cheap to build the required infrastructure etc. and some areas are quite isolated to put it mildly.

I think it gives Saudi Arabia a whole new dimension to its strategic bargaining power if it can start to be a player in mining and rare earth's

When the US Department of Defense is involved directly, you know this is serious.

From the Saudi Arabian perspective you can hardly wish for a better partner in terms of technological know-how, expertise etc.

Ironically simultaneously KSA is working with the Chinese who are leading the rare earth field globally (as of now).

November 2025:

September 2025:

Also there was joint uranium excavation between KSA and China. Almost 10 years ago.

Rumors of KSA supplying China directly with uranium.

2017:

Speaking of uranium, KSA (our energy minister) is publicly stating the wish to export and enrich uranium.

January 2025:

November 2025 after the KSA-US nuclear deal was signed:

Anyway the key here is that KSA has hit another jackpot in our mining sector and that this will hopefully benefit the country, economy, people and further expand the mining sector.

Also this fits well into the AI alignment and KSA partnering with the world's leading AI companies (US) as well as Chinese ones and building some of the largest data centers on earth. All while simultaneously creating our own industrial and scientific know-how through Saudi Arabian AI companies like Humain and other companies in the industrial field. While simultaneously educating/creating entire centers (military field as well) where 10.000 + local minds (most important thing) are graduating on an annual basis and helping KSA develop indigenously.

So all in all (for now) a close to perfect symbioses as far as I see it.

All while betting on the US horse but not cutting ties with China and others (Russia included) either.

Speaking of Russia, ties are steadily improving and I think this could very well be due to Syria-Russia mediation and other areas (Sudan and Libya):

This from a few days ago:

Some of Russia's key allies don't have such a thing, lol. Not that I care, as Russia is of little importance for KSA frankly speaking but still hilarious.

While not being pressured to recognize Israel either as many deemed as a matter of fact (see the entire F-35 discussion).

So all in all a strong showing from our leadership and shows the growth of KSA as a pivotal country on a global scale.

I was wondering if there might be a tie up. Let's see if it goes beyond the geological survey

Would also be a good thing (beneficial for Pakistan I would assume) if Pakistani mining firms and companies were involved within KSA as well. I don't believe that there would be any hindrances in that regard, rather the opposite.

KSA as a whole is opening up for foreign investment and investors.

A good example that I know for a fact that many Muslims from across the world (West and East, very wealthy and less wealthy) will try to take advantage of in one way or another.

Nowadays there is very little difference between Western world and KSA in terms of abilities for foreigners to gain foothold.

Even in terms of citizenship which not long ago even Saudi Arabian mothers could not transfer to their children if married with non-Saudi Arabians. Nowadays there is a pathway for certain individuals, such as highly skilled professionals and foreigners, although the core requirements remain strict for naturalization. If I recall a 10-year residency, fluent Arabic, good moral conduct, a stable financial status, and a demonstrated contribution to Saudi Arabian society. But at least the option is there nowadays and I expect it to increase in the future.

agree. jv with the proper R&D between two countries industries nake them independent . it could change the course of the future of both nations as well as region. both nations have muc to share

Great, now mould it into activities to process it all in country or in extremely close countries like Egypt, Pakistan and establish proper vertical processing chain .
One ounce of raw ore exported to other countries without this plan in mind would be crime against national interests.
Significance of this reserves are immense only if you manage to add maximum added value to it,

KSA has a very well developed industrial sector that is rapidly growing.

"The Global "The Spectator Index":
The Saudi economy continues its steady progress, driven by a 9.3% year-on-year increase in industrial production, signaling the strength of the industrial transformation within Saudi Vision 2030."
And some of the largest global companies in their various fields (industrial and resource fields as well) such as ARAMCO, SABIC, Petro Rabigh, ACWA Power etc.

I would be more ambitious or lets say it widen the scope, national goals are fine, super strong SA is also fine but with weak and underdeveloped other muslim nations, frankly it is like stick on the wind, does not mean much in broader picture.
