PN has 6 helicopters for 13 ships (soon to be 16)
Z-9s are really only for the F-22Ps and 054As. The Yarmooks in their current state don't need dedicated helicopters. And Baburs will receive a western helicopter down the line when funds become available.

PN ships almost never carry helicopters besides for specific missions like this one, realistically 3-4 Z-9s are going to be available at any time since even they are over 15 years old, ship borne helicopters have a lot of utility even outside of Wartime operations.

Also PN hasn't said anything as of yet about new helicopters even though new ships are being inducted.

IMO they should have gone all in on the AW-139 they could have kept adding on to the fleet through incremental orders and conversions through third party contractors like The Sea Sultan program.

Good job, soft power of Navy. Only navies have capabilities to bring influence at long distances. In war or conflict times, a strong navy ensures continuity of sea trade. 90% trade is via sea. All oil supplies are via sea. Even Army / AF won't function properly if navy is defeated. That's why navy's share in budget should increase.

Budget share is roughly 22% but of late a lot of capital expenditure been made for new platforms helped by soft loans by China 🇨🇳

Cant see the SMASH thread any more but sharing a new snippet ( do not know the credibility ) claiming mach 8 capability

It's supersonic (Supersonic Missile Anti-SHip). Basically a naval-launch variant of the Fatah-2 (same fuselage/casing, 600 mm diameter, guidance stack, etc).

I mean this is the most intelligent statement made by a service chief... No one including us thinks that IN would not overwhelm PN (though they may suffer serious losses, even could lose a carrier). For a conflict that was meant to be short and hot, why would you expose your service to that. Even if PN losesa few ships, a carrier loss would be humiliating for IN. IN REMOVED the notion of its own air superiority, and continues to embarrass itself with tall claims of destroying PAF assests from bases to aircrart. So why risk it for something that a navy wasnt designed to. It also shows the old adage of "never underestimate the enemy but let them underestimate you.".
