Pakistan-India Conflict 2025: News Updates and Discussion

India did launch missiles and wasn’t PA responsible along with PAF to intercept them? Looks like they failed on that front given damage in sargodha, bholari ans chaklala. Again I am trying to understand what he did to warrant a field marshal

Your original post did not say "what did FM do to deserve the title" - you wanted to know what PA did and how many SJs were awarded. So perhaps, next time ask the question you want to ask directly instead of moving the goal post midway. And as for the FM title, I have already answered that in my pprevious reply.

Ahan, and the white flags raised by IA across LOC and the destruction of their Bde HQs was because Jibraeel (AS) rained fireballs on them? Right?

This is a separate point of discussion. We all know this is a power grab but using this as a premise to downplay damage caused by PA is a strawman.
White flags ? Can you post an independent source not PTV or for that matter any source from Pakistan ? Eg PAF victories are documented in Air Force Monthly and Economist which are independent or neither Indian nor Pakistani . White flags as in surrender ? That is a big deal and so why wasn’t this in international media

Please go back and read my original post ..that is the first thing I asked..what did fm do?

If I were to argue against this position you would certainly ask me for "evidence" right?

So can you please save me the embarrassment and provide your "evidence" for the claim to begin with so I don't even think about refuting this.

What claim do you need evidence for?

Agreed but trust me, if India thought they can take territory they will launch a land invasion so in that sense I think our PA units in the border did a good job. So let’s be fair on PA. Just want to know why field marshal rank was given? What is the justification?

First of all, he gave himself the field Marshall promotion, and yes it’s totally unjustified.

What do nawaz supporters and pop supporters say? When I see the photographs both zardari and Shahbaz seem genuinely excited giving him the medal and body language says a lot . Nawaz has been quiet yes. I am wondering what do noonies say about this ? Do they agree that pmln and ppp just had no balls or do they actually justify it ? Seems to me that they have nothing ti stand on.

India was never going to launch a ground invasion due to the massive cost to them. They have intentionally gone with air strikes, which failed in 2019 and 2025 and which led to global embarrassment with their planes being shot down and PAF imposing no fly zones on the border regions (per admission of the Indian military chief in his interview to Bloomberg in Singapore).

Agreed.

In the future, India might settle for missile strikes which proved effective. Pakistan army’s decisions not to use advanced missile like Babur, Ra’ad and others in fact shows Pakistan army’s cowardice because they were very bothered to not send the wrong signals to India and for India to not mistake them for a nuclear strike. India on the other hand launched all its standoff missiles into Pakistan to a devastating effect.

Disagree. Babur and Ra'ad are Nuclear Threshold even if carrying conventional warheads. India has consistently asserted BrahMos as a conventional weapon, whereas Pakistan has asserted Babur and Ra'ad as dual capable. Besides, Pakistan has the "first use policy" - so launch of such missiles is effectively throwing the escalation ladder down the gutter - it's basically SA equivalent of Cuban Missile Crisis.

Instead, they went for rocket strikes which were dealt with by India very effectively.

Those systems needed operational debuts. As for there effectiveness, it's debatable, but I have a general agreement with you on it (albeit for different reasons).

Can someone please explain to me what the field marshal did during sindhoor that was so amazing ? Honestly this is not rhetorical but genuinely I want learn. I can see air Chief in the COC giving directions that led to 7 Iaf planes shot that is clear. What was asim munir’s role during Sindoor? What did he do to defeat India ? Or in other words what specific things army did ? I need to see facts please not opinions. Everyone keeps saying that he saved Pakistan during Sindoor so just want to understand this point. Has anything been written on PA accomplishments during Sindhoor ? By now facts should be coming out . How many SJs for PA?

5 questions and none being what did FM Asim Munir did to deserve the FM Title 🥲

Evidence for bolded parts from your post 👇🏻

Not only has the Pakistan army did nothing of substance, they kneecapped the strong response by Pakistan Air Force by not responding for two days and tying PAF hands in the back, while India was firing loitering munitions into Pakistan even as the IAF was grounded to submission by PAF.

The army generals were busy on the phone feeling big and relevant talking to Gulf & American diplomats about ceasefire while India was planning a massive escalation
. An escalation that led to the missile strikes on all the major PAF airbases and which allowed India to save some face.

In a normal country, Mr Asim Munir’s conduct will be scrutinized and dealt with accordingly but Pakistan is a banana republic and so he gave himself a promotion.

Simple: Pakistan did not respond after the air war even as India was launching loitering munitions into Pakistan. Your ISPR guy was holding press conference talking about irrelevant stuff while everyone was asking when Pakistan will retaliate.

I did see the briefings but did not see any evidence of any damage caused by PA. There was one satellite image of partial damage of iaf air base in udhampur that the Paf guy shared which I assume was done by fateh missiles that are run by PA. The fact that you cannot share anything here says a lot. Again what was done to deserve a field marshal. Eg Montgomery led the battle of El Amanein that led to the defeat of Germany and surrender of thousands of Germans and this was a turning point in WW2. So again what did he do to achieve the rank if FM?
Asim isn't even a COAS as he completed tenure on Nov 27. Accepting the offer was the first shred what plans he had in store. He should've promoted those who partook in the daring operation instead of promoting himself but we've seen worse. Ayub as the FM just for the sake of it. If anything, ACM deserved the promotion of sorts.
This Asim guy has a lust of power and he turns out a total control freak who stops at nothing when it comes to fuldilling his ambitions. The country and nation under his rule are as good as doomed.

Hitler reincarnated.

True, the only public evidence I can put forward is local and not a third party verified source. However, you don't even have that "local" evidence for your claim that PA did nothing 🥲
