Syrians didn't have 250,000 rockets and 17 years of peace to prepare for Israeli threat. They also have a US occupation to the East. The US and Israel both are surrounding the Syrian rebels. Also Hezbollah and Iran which are trying to overthrow them.

Nevertheless Syrians sent a warning today to US forces, killed 3 US soldiers and 1 PKK terrorist. A message that you're not occupying Syria indefinitely and you need to get out.

Assad, IRGC, and Hezbollah would never dare try that.

Syrian rebels didn't agree to vacate southern Syria and go north like Hezbollah agreed to in Lebanon. They are still everywhere in southern Syria, Israel occupied a few outposts right outside of occupied Golan Heights, not 'southern Syria'.

In remarks to al-Joumhouria newspaper, the official said the principles are “abiding by the cessation of hostilities agreement, halting the Israeli attacks, the Israeli army’s withdrawal from the points it occupies in south Lebanon, the release of the Lebanese captives, and full commitment to U.N. resolution 1701.”

The senior official, however, lamented that “Israel does not want to reach any agreement” and is rather “not concealing its main objective which is torpedoing Resolution 1701 and establishing a new situation near the border under the buffer zone label, which means maintaining the state of war.”
