India getting outsourcing businesses has little to do with the wackos in the Islamic world. The Indian engineers learnt English and technical skills. In fact, the Indian government did nothing but stay out of the whole thing. The sheer amount of dollars led to geopolitical advantages.
It is not India's fault that educated classes in Pakistan chose not to compete with India. Musharraf had plenty of invites to the corridors of power in Washington, DC. 9/11 diverted America's attention and led to two long unnecessary wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. I see zero benefit to India. Even looking at a zero-sum game, Afghanistan was a short-term advantage for Pakistan.

Take away the outsourcing boom, and India's edge over Pakistan would be limited.
