20000 die every year in accidents (i dont know how many more get paralyse). The casualties are comparable to a real war. The financial and psychological damage are enormous. It says a lot about the culture, society and management of the country.

I'm beginning to think this uprising will hold..... But democracy is a bridge too far. However, some pragmatic Non-clerical leader can emerge..... It may be enough to quell the population. Either way, they must reform, and reform fast.
