I've visited the library in Korean top universities, and I was surprised that almost half of the books are in English (math, physics, biology, etc). Almost every sign is both in Korean and English in the universities.
I've made some Korean friends partially because they wanted to practice their English. We've added each other on Instagram. One even asked me if she can call me every night for 15-30mins to practice her English. I once asked her how many Chinese songs she heard before. She said that she know of Teresa Teng lol.
