UAE, Somaliland, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, Jordan, Turkey and Saudi (more so in the past)? the mass killings and genocide in Sudan, Yemen, Gaza, Libya were done by Iran? supporting Israel by oil, trade or by preventing Iranian missiles reaching Israel? actively giving US forces military bases, to spy on the region? Prevention of weapons reaching Lebanon by new Omavi Mossad stooge Al-Sharaa?

No a federation with a central governmen, it will stop all the fighting and I am not the one who fought for bloody revolution in Syria since the 1980s, they are responsible for the killings of 100,000s of Syrians. Today these people control Syria so they must listen to the Syrian people, they claim Bashar was evil because he didn't listen so today its their job to listen.

Majority of Syrian Sunnis did not support the rebels, this is why fighting continued for a decade, but Turkey worked overtime to change the tide, plus the country and armed forces were destroyed with no budget whilst rebels kept getting billions. Today the common people have no clue on what's happening, Saudi is pumping billions to brainwash them. It was only GCC who rejoiced, majority of Sunnis world opposed any rebellion in Syria or elsewhere, just like they condemned Israeli attack on Iran.

I disagree

I think it will cause increased ethnic/religious tensions, secessionist movements, and may well start another war resulting in ethnic cleansing.

Israel wants a Kurdish state to divide and weaken Syria. It also wants Syrian infighting to destabilize Syria so it can continue to have free will in attacking Syria.

Syria must stay united and the leaders must work to protect every group of people regardless of religion or ethnicity. Any agitators must be punished.

I understand your point but that's what Bashar Al Assad did, he declared war on foreign sponsored terrorists who wanted to destroy Syria. So are we all supposed to now support Jolani killings of Syrians. The killings must stop now, the old regime is gone. The new government needs to listen to its people.

Actually majority of Sunnis did support the rebels. They did not want Bashar. Bashar only lasted this long because of the help of Iran, Hezbollah, and Russia.

I have no dog in this fight. I understand that Hezbollah needed the weapons pipeline from Syria. I understand others also instigated to also weaken the Syrian state. Majority of people wanted Bashar gone because of his families ruthless rule of Syria. It would be disingenuous to label anti Bashar rebels as solely foreign intervention.

I think Bashar should have made a deal to step down and work to transitioned power instead of a civil war that destroyed the country where it polarized more people against him.

The same way majority of Libya, Iraq, Afghanistan people did not want Gaddafi Saddam and Taliban. Do you now know decades before Syrian war the Usa and others were making threats to attack Syria, to remove Assad the anti Israel axis of evil leader. As a leader he fought till he could not and then made a deal, his army made way for the rebels and disbanded.

Syria was always under threat for being against Israel but we can’t ignore the ruthless rule that polarized his people against him. He butchered many innocent people. Like I said before, he should have made a deal to step down and transition power. The civil war lasted over 13 years, destroyed the country, killed hundreds of thousands of people, wrecked the economy, etc

Unfortunately, all of this could have been avoided. Inshallah we will see a Syria that works for all its citizens and once again becomes strong and prosperous.

I have always believed that Syria is a sleeping giant. Hopefully Syria becomes whole again and Turkey works to modernize its military.

Just like I said before. Nobody was ever gonna fight Syria and Turkey over Syria itself and this is what Trump verified tonight.

Turkey is first of all NATO and Syria is geared towards becoming a major non-NATO ally.

Nor can anyone fight Syria-Turkey without NATO themselves but they are part of NATO themselves and at this point in time.

Trump is keeping US interests above everyone else including Israel without damaging israel. That means a security pact signing between Israel and Syria leading to Israel leading the buffer zone.

SDF won´t be a thing post 2026.
