Indians can't guarantee Fizz protection from the Hindutva terrorists. So BCCI asked KKR to drop Fizz.

BCB should demand for all t20 World cup Bangladeshi matches to be played in Sri Lanka. Clearly Indians are not capable of protecting a single player, let alone the entire team.

Bangladesh will not play T20 World Cup matches in India, decision taken in context of ‘extreme communal policy’ of BCCI

Bangladesh will not play their T20 World Cup matches in India after Mustafizur Rahman was released by his Indian Premier League (IPL) team amid growing tensions between the countries, Bangladesh’s sports adviser Asif Nazrul said on Sunday.

Kolkata Knight Riders said on Saturday they had released the Bangladesh bowler after being told to do so by India’s cricket board (BCCI).

Bangladesh are scheduled to play three T20 World Cup matches in Kolkata next month, with the February 7-March 8 tournament being co-hosted by India and Sri Lanka.

“Bangladesh will not go to India to play the World Cup. The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has taken this decision today,” Nazrul, who is an adviser to the Ministry of Sports, said in a statement after an emergency meeting of the BCB.

“We welcome this decision taken in the context of the extreme communal policy of India’s cricket board.”

Earlier, Nazrul had said, “We will not accept any insult to Bangladeshi cricket, cricketers and Bangladesh under any circumstances.”

“The days of slavery are over,” he had said.

Nazrul said he had ordered the BCB to write to the International Cricket Council (ICC).

“The board should inform that, where a Bangladeshi cricketer cannot play in India despite being contracted, the entire Bangladeshi cricket team cannot feel safe going to play in the World Cup,” he wrote.

“I have also instructed the board to request that Bangladesh’s World Cup matches should be held in Sri Lanka.”

Nazrul said he would also ask that the IPL be blocked from Bangladeshi broadcasters.

“I have requested the information and broadcasting adviser to stop the broadcasting of the IPL tournament in Bangladesh,” he said.

Kolkata Knight Riders, majority-owned by Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, subsequently said that Mustafizur’s “release has been carried out following due process and consultations”.

BCB President Aminul Islam Bulbul told reporters late on Saturday: “The dignity and security of our cricketers are our top priorities, and we will take a decision at the appropriate time keeping these in mind.“

Mustafizur, who has previously played in the IPL for other teams, was snapped up at auction in December by Kolkata for more than $1 million.

But BCCI Secretary Devajit Saikia said that “considering recent developments”, Kolkata had been “advised to release” the 30-year-old player.

So, where will Bangladesh play their matches? Or have they decided not to take part in the T20 tournament altogether? If that’s the case, then Bangladesh cricket team will be the final loser.

BCCI’s decision to kick Mustafizur out of the IPL is indeed shambolic. Sports should be kept out of politics.

Sri Lanka. They are co- host for the world cup.

Bangladesh look to move T20 World Cup matches from India amid Mustafizur row

I hope they don't bend the knees later. We should be adamant not to play in India, since they clearly can't arrange security for a single player.
Bangladeshis are, sadly, behind the curve with regards to the Delhi-centric informational warfare methodologies.

One of the classic methods is to downplay and dampen any India-derived act of simple discrimination by deploying this so-called "row" context, as if somehow there are two sides to this and it is a "dispute" with "two equally acceptable arguments" on either side.

Cricinfo is India run and this case neatly illustrates the usual bollocks from Indian journos, explaining this away as a "Mustafizur row".

As you and I both know, there is no "row" whatsoever. It is a simple act of politically instituted discrimination against a Bd player. They have no right whatsoever to even allow this constant political interference, first and foremost - the conflicts of interest in Indian cricket alone should have had them banned ten times over in the last twenty years. But we all know why that will never be.

On the subject of the Indian reportage, do watch carefully now for any article of an event (sporting or non-sporting) for which objective criticism should quite readily and logically be attributable to Delhi and/or hindutva in general - you will notice that the reportage will ALWAYS declare the incident to be a "row", as if the Muslim beaten up for "love jihad" or the cricketer barred because of Delhi's political whims might somehow be culpable or blame-worthy.

Laughable qom of semi-literates who think we don't notice.

Pak should follow BDesh lead.. show some gonads and refuse to play in India until there is a reciprocation…
Pakistan isn't playing in India though.

However, I would go further and stuff them altogether.

Why do we acquiesce to their demand for a "marquee fixture" in every tournament just to boost their revenues?

Insist that India FORFEIT all fixtures against Pakistan, since they wanted to institute a boycott against us since Pahalgam.

Why should we turn up for those who take orders from politicians on whether to shake our hands or not?! It is disgusting. PCB has shown some spine, particularly in refusing to hand over the Asia Cup because of India's refusal to receive it off a Pakistani - but we need to go further.

Dude we love complaining. Pls, don't follow the footsteps of current BCB fools who r nothing but a bunch of hypocrites.
On one hand they r crying because fizz got kicked out of ipl on political ground and giving lectures that sports should be kept out of politics. On the other hand these same clowns banned shakib from playing cricket.

Just think about it: they wouldn’t even let Shakib — arguably one of the greatest all-rounders in the world and easily the greatest cricketer Bangladesh has produced — play in what could have been his final matches. Yet they still expect India to allow Fizz to play in the IPL, despite all the anti-India rhetoric coming from Bangladesh. The double standard is unbelievable.

Today, the word “India” is closely associated with negativity in Bangladesh. There is no politician in Bangladesh willing to destroy their reputation by being perceived as aligned with India.

This is not about the February election; it is about the next fifty years. By siding with a regime that killed and injured thousands of Bangladeshis, India has secured a lasting negative perception among the Bangladeshi public.

Bilateral ties will not deepen; they will lead nowhere of real substance. At present, there is little place for India or Indians in Bangladesh.

Bangladesh has no meaningful incentive to maintain relations with India beyond the most basic bilateral engagements.

Recent example of Mustafizur Rahman's targeted harassment by Hindu terror led BCCI:

The country stands to benefit far more from strengthening its relationships with the United States, the European Union, the Middle East, and, of course, China.

By engaging in actions such as bullying Mustafizur Rahman, India is demonstrating to the world an extraordinarily small-minded approach. Such behaviour may find acceptance within a largely indifferent domestic environment, but it is wholly unacceptable on the international stage. The IPL episode has also exposed the lack of safety and security for players, reinforcing the perception that the league is being used as a political weapon rather than a sporting platform.

The episode further illustrates that the BCCI appears to bow to Hindu extremist pressure instead of functioning as an independent body dedicated to strengthening Indian cricket. Sport should never be weaponised. Once again, India has shown itself to be too petty to recognise the broader implications of its actions.

This episode serves as a textbook example of what not to do in diplomacy.

Time to use all that influence you have in ICC, power is useless if you don't use it. If some county club level board can threaten BCCI other tiny boards will start acting up.
Playing in IPL is not a right, it's a privilege. After spreading hate against India online, do you think Indians will be okay to have Bangladeshi players playing in IPL? The audience is outraged which forced BCCI to release the BD player. That should've been it in fact stupid BCCI shouldn't have had BD players in the roaster but despite all that gotta give it to the Hakla boi to not read the room and select a BD player for $1 million.
