I don’t know how long we can keep flying the upgraded ones. But it does free up other assets to concentrate on air to air role in case of next flare up.

So if we can’t, we should keep them as long as possible.

Some of the previous Mirage squadrons were number plated to save money. Apart from aircraft, a whole sqn headquarters and flight lines needs resources.

The last 3 squadrons will be phased out gradually in a couple of years. The upgraded ROSE-III are in 27 sqn which was raised in 2006. Even if those aircraft can fly a bit more, I don't think we will see them flying in PAF after 2028.

This is not part of this discussion. These Indian missiles did real damage on our side just because of their hypersonic speed. It's hard to intercept. Subsonic systems are easy to intercept but currently, there is lots of improvements going on in other systems like scalp. Clearly this missile is not scalp. In a future war which is quite near, India will fire more than 200 brahmos. Can we reply in the same manner? For this, we need similar systems like brahmos. We don't have any such system. This is reality. You can use this new missile with all the new ai involved. Can it still make it to the desired target? I doubt it. India now makes interceptors. Pakistan needs hypersonic missiles. That's it. People are giving examples of scalp. This is not scalp. You can see in the video that it missed the target. I doubt that India will allow it to travel 100 km inside their territory.this is my point.

It was SCALP-EG , was part of Rafale deal. Actually India and MBDA may be working on some joint enhancements.

The more the merrier. If Pakistan can make newer types of missiles, such as Supersonic cruise missiles, that would be great.

About layered defence. Such attacks are carried out after or alongside SEAD .
Some cruise missiles engage enemy defenses, while others continue ahead towards main targets . You don't lob a Babur cruise missile to fly over an enemy air defence system. Thats not how these missions are planned.

About indian invincibility. We should not underestimate the enemy, and some degree of exaggeration and over estimation is good.
But we heard about the "Beast of the east ", the mini AWACS . Also the indian air defence system which will cover entire Pakistani aor space to such an extent that PAF will be banished from Pakistani air space and operate from Afghanistan?
None of that happened?

In OPSEC, better safe than sorry. So I actually don't know anything confidential and it allows me to speak my mind without worrying about spilling anything classified.

So as I said, I don't know the details of it but order for F-4 is confirmed. We all know about PAC aircraft exports. So I am hoping for Taimoor to join the list soon.

Wrong thread but Turkish Admiral Cihat doesn't agree with this argument. Pakistan has no stakes in that region and this deal is to help Turkiye stabilize and unite Libya.

The recent Greek visit to Israel and Blue Homeland doctrine means they are more interested in Libyan stability and though they were logistically supporting Tripoli government, this deal will not pitch us against Turkiye.
