PAF Conducts Successful Test Launch of Taimoor ALCM

Wrong thread but Turkish Admiral Cihat doesn't agree with this argument. Pakistan has no stakes in that region and this deal is to help Turkey stabilize and unite Libya.

The recent Greek visit to Israel and Blue Homeland doctrine means they are more interested in Libyan stability and though they were logistically supporting Tripoli government, this deal will not pitch us against Turkiye.

I am not sure how our deal will stabalize Libya . May be I am not reading your response correctly .

“Turkey primarily supported the UN-recognized Tripoli-based Government of National Accord (GNA) in Libya's civil war, providing significant military aid and countering rivals like Egypt and UAE who backed Khalifa Haftar's eastern-based Libyan National Army (LNA).”

Now Turkey special forces and drones devestated Haftar forces in the last war. UAE is the real spoiler and supports Haftar despite having nothing to show except shower money on them .

“The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has consistently supported
General Khalifa Haftarand his Libyan National Army (LNA)(Eastern-based factions) in the Libyan conflict, viewing him as a key figure to stabilize the country and counter political Islam, providing significant military, financial, and political backing, including weapons and air support, while opposing groups allied with Turkey and Qatar like the UN-recognized government (GNA).”

I cannot describe how disgusting and soulless UAE is in supporting wrong sides in Sudan, Libya and Somalia while sitting on the lap of Israel.

One of my best friend here is from Turkey . He gave me earful when he heard the news that we will be selling weapons to Haftar ……

Few times when I hung my head in shame and had no response ….

@arsalan345

Arsalan bhai,

These Indian missiles did real damage on our side just because of their hypersonic speed.

A small correction. None of our missiles-Brahmos or SCALP are hypersonic. They are supersonic. Hypersonic missiles are at least 5 years from operational deployment.

Regards

I will once again mention Admiral Cihat Yayci because he is far more qualified on this than we all combined, whether Pakistani or Turkish members.

Don't know or care about UAE but Turkiye has no issue with this deal. Pakistan will never go against their regional policy in and around Mediterranean.

Thank you mate, I was just kidding.
On a serious note, I often talk to coursemates or senior colleagues and once they tell me something new, I don't ask any further details.

In OPSEC, better safe than sorry. So I actually don't know anything confidential and it allows me to speak my mind without worrying about spilling anything classified.

So as I said, I don't know the details of it but order for F-4 is confirmed. We all know about PAC aircraft exports. So I am hoping for Taimoor to join the list soon.
Considering F4 has >700km range, I'm guessing if it is exported it'll be downgraded? F1 and F2 for export I can understand, but exporting F4 seems too much of a security risk in my view. Too close to our strategic versions.

Can't we import this stuff from china, why go for black market.
Or Chinese charge us even more than the black market
no they also give it through black-market , because when they get cough they get sanctioned too so yes they charge us because of this risk
There's your answer.

Is that 23 or 2-3?
Sorry 2 to 3.

Better would be to make front companies in countries like Azerbaijan and banglaesh and fly out stuff from their.
The babus need to wake the fk up I am seriously appalled by their lack of seriousness regarding missile tech.
probably already happening .
This is their model. That is why you hear about new companies being sanctioned every so often.

How do you @JamD view the rbs 15 as ? its a hghly advanced missile with very strong ECMs and Anti jamming capabilites even better then the JSM...while i was reading about it..it said it could command in flight meaning could change the course of flight to a different target..? can it be possibile here with this here?(ik it would cost shit ton put is it possible) also how would the scalp wreckage help us in? Warhead?,Future techniques t counter it? any words on the wreckage?
I don't know much about RBS15 but when you're a big consolidated defense company you have a lot of systems from different products that you can incorporate at very little cost. Also it helps not to be sanctioned.

Command during flight requires data links over long range. We don't want to spend the money to set up that space infrastructure. There is little need for such retargeting for us I think.

Wreckages can tell us about the input but not much more. For example looking at certain processors we might infer there is some image processing, which may inform countermeasures.

Optimal routing may work in some other theatre but not Indo-Pak one. This is due to density of radars and multilayer AD at all HVTs.

S-400, MRSAM, Spyder, Aakash, Pechora, VSHORADS and a number of other shorter range guns and missiles make it one of the most dense environments and difficult to beat for an aerial platform.

Use of terrain hugging from hills to the north may delay the detection a little but can’t deny it. I also doubt if India would leave such corridors without adequate radar cover.

Best solution might be to go for SEAD or DEAD and then push in these missiles.
This will turn into a he said she said but IMHO you underestimate the size of India and overestimate the density of AD. India is no Israel. Furthermore, these cruise missiles can fly really low and mask themselves from terrain through very narrow corridors. Let me just say that if routing wasn't the plan, these systems would get shot down so easily there would be no point in fielding them. Give Pakistani planners some credit.

I thought nescom was the only one still working mostly on nuclear side and as a result is most targeted
The sanctions are on countries of missile technology concern. The (twisted) logic is that any missile can be used to deliver nukes so all things missile are to be restricted - doesn't matter if we say it is conventional.

no fuking way iraq gets it , Azerbaijan maybe
Azerbaijan doesn't really need the F4, Armenia is a very small country that you don't need long range cruise missiles for also they already have Turkish and Israeli CMs, Libya since it's a very large country where F4 has use also there is a big question mark on what was part of the deal besides the JF-17s.

Or we can explore HAPS and UAV relay.

let's stick to Taimoor on this thread and lets not discuss exports of Fatah-4s and Harbahs? We have dedicated threads for those.
Speaking of Export, do you think the Taimoor has any export potential? Perhaps like how the SCALP is packaged with the Rafale this can be packaged with the JFT.
