🇨🇳🇹🇼 China wants to capture Taiwan like Venezuela and “run it” as Trump said.

On Chinese social media, users believe that China should use Trump's methods towards Taiwan.

This is reported by Bloomberg, citing Chinese users. The operation to capture Maduro has garnered more than 440 million views on Chinese social media.

"Since the US doesn't take international law seriously, why should we care?", "I suggest using the same method to return Taiwan in the future", - write users of the Chinese social network Weibo.

Other users suggest kidnapping Lai Ching-te, the President of Taiwan, as well.

Bloomberg cites the opinion of analysts who believe that the operation against Venezuela could push China to take more decisive actions.

"Privately, I expect Beijing to emphasize to Washington that it expects to be granted the same privileges regarding exceptions to international law that the US grants itself", - believes Ryan Hass, a senior fellow at the Brookings Institution and a former American diplomat.

It should be noted that China does not consider its possible actions towards Taiwan to be a violation of international law, as it perceives this island as part of its internationally recognized territory.

Taiwan, as an independent state separate from the PRC, is recognized by only 12 small countries. The US, Ukraine, Russia, and EU countries do not recognize Taiwan's independence.

- China is not really powerful with ZERO war experiences, it seems, right?
- Russia is pretty much weak and useless.

🇨🇳🇹🇼🇺🇸 Chinese social media users are increasingly arguing that Beijing should adopt Trump-style tactics toward Taiwan, according to Bloomberg.

The discussion surged after reports that the Trump regime attacked Venezuela and kidnapped its president, a story that drew over 440 million views on Chinese platforms.

Commenters on Weibo openly questioned why China should respect international law if the US does not, with some proposing similar methods to resolve the Taiwan issue. Some even suggested targeting Taiwan’s leader, Lai Ching-te.

Analysts cited by Bloomberg say such precedents could push China toward more decisive action. Ryan Hass, a former US diplomat, noted that Beijing may privately signal to Washington that it expects the same exemptions from international law the US claims for itself.

China maintains that any action toward Taiwan would not violate international law, as it views the island as part of its internationally recognized territory.

That is not a good example, USA got support from common Venezuelan and it's military who considered Maduro as a dictator, in Taiwan scenario it's the opposite, Xi is the dictator and Taiwan people and army support their government.

If at all it'd make more sense to kidnap Xi and bring him to Taiwan and unify mainland to Taiwan.

Not if the simple threat is to kill leadership and then implant a favorable individual.
Then there is actual "fighting spirit" for the country. For a place like Venezuela already broken by years of economic destruction and strongman rule - would be surprising if there is anything beyond token resistance.

Countries are not destroyed by military might - it takes a lot more internally to break down the systems and the people before bringing in the military.
US in theory take the whole of central South America, but it would stretch the empire too much. Most of rulers there are more focused on self preservation than the sovereignty of the state.

China MUST do this now, if only to hear the cowardly hypocritical NATO representatives, particularly Keir Starmer of UK, gesticulate about rule of law, international norms, illegality, hostile occupation etc etc. Mind you, Putin has already exposed their hypocrisy once this decade.

Trump will not give a damn.

No one should be mistaken: Venezuela has not fallen, and it is definitely not ruled by the hated US.

What we're witnessing now is a huge and coordinated psyop to make Venezuelans feel hopeless and lost.

But the fate of your country, dear people of Venezuela, is still firmly in your hands.

American soldiers are not patrolling your streets. They can't. The US doesn't have this power.

This Maduro fuckery was meant to shock you into surrender and apathy.

But the real war for Venezuela hasn't even begun, and it is a war the US cannot win, once it seriously begins.

Venezuelans now need to make it their national project to live up to their Bolivarian past and spirit, and resist with great determination and fury every filthy American attempt to land in their country.

No American ship must be allowed to dock in Venezuela, and no American airplane must be allowed to land.

No pasarán.

And if they do manage to land somewhere, they must be faced with a million angry and determined Venezuelans who will block their way and resist with whatever they have.

The war for Venezuela hasn't started yet, and the colonizer pigs know they cannot win it, so they are trying to make you give up in advance.

Don't make this fatal mistake. Stare the US in the face and tell it to go **** itself. There will be no occupation and no exploitation of Venezuela

Tell them you are waiting for them on the beaches, forests, and streets, and dare them to try and steal your homeland from you, if they feel emboldened by their testosterone shots and hair implants.

Make guerrilla warfare your religion, and sabotage and terrorism your gods.

The fat, lazy, and stupid Americans can do nothing to take away what's rightfully yours, and their corporate mercenaries need to know the only thing they will meet in Venezuela is a painful death.

Venezuela has not fallen, and if it acts with determination and courage, it will win this war decisively and send Trump to his geriatric clinic mumbling about his mother's imaginary lost oil.

Fight for your country and freedom, and you will win and become legends. The new Bolivars.

No one must treat the US like it has won anything, and countries hurt by Western colonialism should set into motion an international apparatus that will allow them to sue their tormentors and abusers for all the trillions they have.

The West must pay for all that it has stolen and destroyed. Start working on the lawsuit

Nothing simmilar is gonna happen in iran or russia lmao. Its a scare tactic. For one russia and especially moscow is impenetrable by basically everything but b-2s. And for iran the us would absolutely remove all anti government narrative by deposing khameini just like isreali strikes did. Also iran may not have proper AD but khanenei and irgc are 10x smarter in hiding and fighting than maduro

Here is something. The central issue is the nationalization of the oil industry in Venezuela by Hugo Chavez. American companies were originally involved in creating Venezuelan oil industry but Hugo Chavez nationalized it in 1970.

Venezuela continued to be a major oil exporter to the US for some years, supplying 1.5 – 2 million barrels per day (bpd) in the late 1990s and early 2000s. But after Hugo Chavez took office in 1998, he nationalised all oil assets, seized foreign-owned assets, restructured PDVSA and prioritised political goals over exports, leading to declining production alongside mismanagement and underinvestment.

This is why Trump have accused Venezuela of oil theft and decided to seize Venezuelan oil industry. Now it adds up.
I don't understand. So the US has the right to invade countries when their assets are nationalized? Does this apply only to the US or to all countries?
