PAF Conducts Successful Test Launch of Taimoor ALCM

Evidently even the ignore button isn't saving threads I hold dear from RajaBaja Block 2. Sigh.

And you are supposed to be some big shot in a top secret industry and want to guide PAF for making policies.

Juggat maar lein pehle ap sab. Phir bat kr lein ge imagery pe bhi. And the feeling is mutual. I was ignoring you but one of the mureeds in your cult had a problem with me.

hear them out honestly, they critique because they want improvement not because they have biases .
you forget, 99% of the problems stem from know it all officers who think they've been given the mandate to run every institution in pak from god, that anyone whos not in khakis is an idiot.

I am sure they know but "what are they talking about?" And "what industry?" I mean, all I have seen is taunting and snide remarks. Why will I take them seriously? Just a toxic group of people who want respect without earning it. 🤷‍♂️
And what industrial bases? Public? Private? 🤣 Am I to just guess all this? And it is not banter, it is just pretentious ranting. Same team. 🤔 Makes no sense.
You say a lot of words, but don't actually convey anything important or of value. Maybe spend less time talking and more time reading IR books, or even better, economics material.

Before asking "what industrial bases?", please go look up the term "Newly Industrialized Country" and tell me whether Pakistan is on it, yes or no. And then tell me who is actually on that list.

In 2023, India's exports of machinery equipment (forget other manufacturing output) were USD 69 billion, i.e., more than Pakistan's total exports across all industries that year. Maybe 1.5X to 2X our total exports.

Anyways, a lot of what you're throwing at us is just projection. "Cult," "toxic group," "pretentious ranting," etc, etc.

Look, I am just a corporate @sshole who's used to answering investors and shareholders about where their money's going and when they'll see ROI. It's my job to show, not just tell, how A-value in results in AX5-10.

And it's my job to show them that ROI when I propose projects like a jigs manufacturing line (a spiritual revival of BEC) in Pakistan, a task that involves me having to find investors (from among Pakistani expatriates in the West) but painstakingly secure licenses, approvals, etc., and not be accused of starting a front firm for NESCOM.

My life goal is to leave a manufacturing enterprise in Pakistan that draws FDI from Turkiye, China, Europe, etc, to create real jobs for youth, hard currency gains for the economy, and so on. It's real public service, all without taking a dime in my life from the Pakistani exchequer.

That's what my family and extended family have done since 1947, and we have done so without a thanks, except for the ones given by babu-dakus and their low-rent, easily replaceable noisemakers like you.

Who are you? What are you doing for this nation aside from leveraging your public/taxpayer-funded career to be an overnight "analyst?" Lol, sit down.

I think the amount of manholes India exports just to the US is more than our total export.

Yes yes this was me being snide.

Pakistan will (if not already) have a dedicated comms sat requirement. The starting point will prob be Chinese, but I think the goal is to configure locally with inputs from willing vendors/partners from the second military comms say req. SUPARCO said it could integrate X-Band transponders with Ku and Ka as far back as 2018, so this has been on the cards for a while. Ultimately, Pakistan wants the full triad (comms, imaging, and nav/loc), under sovereign control, hence studies for PNSS/PakNav.
SUPARCO is full of political appointees.
2014 when China was asking Pakistan to build Beidou support and augmentation infrastructure in Pakistan , the department at SUPARCO responsible of running these projects had a lady as the head.
I tried to contact her to get an update about the projects. I found out that she's on a long leave , most probably with full pay, and gone to Canada, and all projects are on hold. She was actually doing her time in Canada for getting PR leading to immigration, while also being the head of a department at SUPARCO.

Don't expect much from SUPARCO.

99 % of Qatar manholes are from India.

@JamD @Ak01 @puttputt You have made your points. Gentleman from armed forces wont budge from their PoV's and from dismissive attitude. One great example is the crude and crass behaviour of @Maarkhoor. He acts like a subedaar most of time. @AeronautIR sahab is from elite institution with polished behavior. So he engages with respect and patience. But the biases and dismissive attitude wont go away. Lets agree to disagree and move on. You cant convince each other. Then dont criticize each other personally. Criticize those who made this culture in institutions and keeping this culture alive.

Granted, the attitude you point to is very prevalent. But FFS, the guy has said absolutely nothing so far that is suggestive of said attitude. Let's be civil, extend the benefit of the doubt and avoid displaced aggression. @JamD You too, please. We value your input very much, and we would rather benefit from it in a congenial environment.

Well said. 🙏

I would say that is a common Pakistani trait.

Everyone - and I mean everyone - thinks they know it all.
No one. Not for an instant has the common sense to "think again". What if I am wrong.

Be it uncles in drawing rooms, officers in branches talking down to other officers in branches or to civilians or even car mechanics who will try to still fix something they have zero knowledge about.

This country suffers from a disease of "aqal e kul" and it goes well beyond the military.

SUPARCO's mid-layer has its gems and have done good on a miniscule budget (once the SPD-related line-items are factored out). We should also remember that SUPARCO (and Pakistan's wider strategic pursuits) are hobbled with lots of US-led sanctions and restrictions that inhibit our ability to get instrumentation equipment and even civilian-grade CNCs. I started a year ago, and I haven't budged much in trying to get approvals to transfer some equipment to Pak due to these restrictions. We might try China though, but the regulatory process there is something else and we may need to hire a @Michael to help out.

This is an open forum, and members have a right to their opinion, so long as it is expressed respectfully, even if that opinion is nonsense. Personal attacks are completely unwarranted. Many of us old members have tolerated nonsense opinions on this forum for many years, for the most part, without resorting to personal attacks, and we've even maintained cordial communication with members whose opinions we deem nonsense. Disagreement doesn't warrant disrespect and insult. Let's behave like adults.
