I just hate that they keep building DHAs and expanding containment areas. Then they barricade it so that others cannot pass or visit old spots.
Also, they live behind tall walls and claim that the entire Pakistan is happy and prosperous.

Inevitable given the growth rate of the countrys population. Alternatively build upwards only on the current urban capture.
Interesting comment. Related to the situation in Islamabad, people in the Phoenix metro area complain about the urban sprawl. Commute times are starting to rival Los Angeles. Yet, no one wants to start building upward because it is still cheaper to expand outward.

It won't be long before the people of Islamabad begin to complain about the heat.

Trees are what makes Islamabad one of the best capitals in the world - shame that is being lost. They should blend the trees into the design, and not try and make it some concrete fill glass driven sh-t hole that you see in the middle east.

And when the floods come they'll say that this is a disaster and God's will, whilst ignoring that trees, grass etc are natural defences against excess rainwater.
Truly stupid people.

They should make this a graveyard for generals …

You cannot deny the supply and demand issue here. Ask around your circle and see how many people aspire to make khotis, villas and bangalows, forced by rasm, riwaaj and tradition.

It's been an ongoing issue, and family planning is out the window with this lot of Pakistani's.

This is one area Pakistan is several lacking, in urban planners. In the village I live in the municipality wouldn't approve any construction plan that's lacking in a pond, park, trees, bushes & shrubs. In my subdivision, there must be one tree in the front and back, and minimum of three shrubs. Then you have guidelines for stormwater management, road management, etc.

In the end it's about creating a health and livable ecosystem. The above simple adjustments can help solve the dust issue and poor air quality.

These above items wouldn't cost mush to the state or people, it just requires a regulatory framework and accountability.
