US Political News and Trump’s China visit

It is also possible, we go through a post-Nixon moment, where the public pressures congress to pass laws preventing the excesses of the Trump terms from repeating themselves.
Yeah, the excessive use of executive order is the issue, we had like 230 EO vs 37 bills being passed in Congress, you can't govern a country with EO because that is the sole descripency from the President.

Two things in the US political scene broke the checks and balances system with the US government, Executive Order is one, Nuclear Option in the Senate is the other.

No one is willing to commit suicide for Democratic President the way GOPers are doing it for Trump. It is more like anarchy.

Trump is setting precedents so that countries can expel millions of illegal immigrants.
You do know the Dem is inching toward a more progressive and left-leaning branch, and people are getting more militiant in case you have not notice, again, taking out illegal immigrants is good, not so good when you use executive orders excessively and then bend the Constitution to do it.

On the other hand, was that really a problem, and had ICE actually addressed it?

And all In know is, US job market actually decreased in 2025 rather than increasing, while all these illegal were supposed to be rounded up and deported.

You are asking if illegal immigration is a problem

Democrats are divided. What the party establishment wants is not what some of the voters want.

The progressive wing can win on economic populism if they dump cultural causes. The cultural baggage is anathema to a lot of working-class voters

I am not asking if illegal immigration is a problem. Illegal immigration IS a problem. I live in Australia, the immigration policy here is 10 times stricter than in the US. I am asking if solving illegal immigration solves anything, and did ICE solve the immigration problem?

The answer is NO on both, ICE didn't solve the illegal immigration problem, and so far, we don't see our social and economical problem improve because of "fixing" illegal immigration.

‘Nobel Please Prize’: X drags Trump for accepting Venezuelan opposition leader’s medal

Netizens were quick to remind the US president he's a ‘loser’ for accepting someone else’s 'trinket'.

US President Donald Trump finally got his wish of having a Nobel Peace Prize on Friday after months of insisting he was a worthy candidate — well, sort of. Venezuelan opposition leader and 2025 Nobel laureate, Maria Corina Machado, gifted the president her medal during a meeting at the White House.

A US official confirmed the president intends to hold onto it and his office posted a picture of him flashing a toothy grin as he received the framed medal.

Users on X, where the announcement was made, did not take kindly to Trump accepting an award he didn’t earn. They were quick to remind him the medal wasn’t the prize itself.

The culture of bipartisanship for the sake of the country broke down during the young bush administration and has only progress to what we have now. Gone are the days of Tip O’Neil and Reagan hashing things out.

That would require Congress to actually do their jobs rather than cede power like they have for the past 25 years or so.

If Jose shows up in USA and he gets asylum status (as per Biden administration's rules) what is going to happen next?
