Pakistan Air Force | News & Discussions

Thank you. For second, i meant on calender not poster as you said there is a blunder in that calender.
Yes they made a mistake or you can say that a blunder as they showed a Turkish system instead of Pakistani system just because it shares the same name.

what if they are going to procure that turkish system in 2026?

As a Pakistani , be honest and ask yourself what is it likely to be.
Really i dont know. If it is something related to Air defence especially SHORAD? or something like CIWS for point defence than maybe? but i dont know i am just asking

Or maybe they just went online and search for HISAR image quickly to put this Calendar together and got the wrong HISAR?

Ohh the image was of HISAR for the medium range? now yes that doesnt make sense for us only if we get complete production in pakistan otherwise we need shorad for our important assets safety. Thank You

Correction i just study a little about HISAR and i can be used as an alternative to IRIS-T or CAMM-ER kind of system? if so isnt it will be a good addtition?
Again i am naive on these kind of technology so apology in advance if i sound stupid

Hi, this is an interesting article. I would guess that the operators were not that well trained, and the radar was not integrated in a cohesive air defense network. A couple of key points are that over 60% of the radar network was not available and maintenance was questionable...

A lot of other things happened that made the response of Venezuelan Armed Forces next to negligible other than the personal Cuban bodyguards of the former president. For one, CIA had for years infiltrated the Venezuelan military and key commands did not put up any resistance. Furthermore, all radars are not operational all the time. Some of them are deliberately turned off to reduce wear and tear and some go off on scheduled maintenance. Venezuela did not have a state of the art layered air defence US forces like any other wanting to do a surgical/limited force operation would study the pattern and act when the most powerful radars are off line or there are scheduled experienced personnel rotation etc.

The air defence umbrella covering 916,445 Sq. Km with a 2,800 km coastline mostly consist of Russian bought S300VM (12 units 200 Km range ABM/SAM bought in 2009) BukM2E (9 units Med range SAM) Pechora 2M (44 units 24km range SAM). Assorted Shoulder fired RBS-70, Mistral and Igla-S. Complemented by towed AAA roughly 400 unit of ZSU-23-2, L-70, TCM-20. As with their oil industry, crippled by years of sanctions, the Venezuelan Armed Forces also suffered from these sanctions, their western equipment bought earlier was mostly out of commission or of limited use. The Russian Air Defence Missiles were for the most part not connected to their radars. The Chinese Radars in Venezuelan service were JY-27A entered Chinese service 20 years ago, JY-11B, 3D Air Surveillance Radar. , and JYL-1, long-range 3D S band 3D air surveillance radar. Again it is doubtful that these radars were fully function at he time and manned properly.

Therefore, giving a sweeping statement by the US that these systems failed stretching it a bit. One must see under what circumstances the attack was a carried out and with what handicaps were there for the Venezuelans that these toys did not performs as envisaged. After all, the systems mentioned above are being use by the manufacturing nations themselves.

Stop embaressing yourself, there are often complex rules when it comes to headgear and saluting, and often these even vary between service and even regiment.
I just told you what my dad who was air commodore did so he know more than you for sure

No he should not be without a cap outdoors ..this shows lack of discipline. I remember my dad and I were driving and there was an army truck full of soldiers in front of us and they had taken their caps off so my dad signaled them to stop, scolded them to put their caps on and told them that Pakistan army soldiers and officers need to demonstrate discipline . Being outdoors without cap is a big no no
Geez dude, your dad must have been fun guy at parties
